And now, a number of you have wondered about "livergreat" and what it is. We furst learned about this word from our furiend Meeshka; click here to read all about it. Some people call it liverwurst but how anything about this yummy treat can be the "wurst" is beyond us. We really love it - it is just GRRRRREAT!!! And the best part is that woo don't have to take pills to enjoy it. It is really yummy as a treat anyday. So talk to the bipeds and tell them to bring some home fur woo.

Whew, it's been hard work with all the blogs I had to find and link and then I had to do a lot of researching Meeshka's archives to find out all about livergreat. I think it is time for me to do THIS:

Until the next time ---

I Must Have Livergreat!!!

Well, the test results are in. TheVet says I have to start taking two MORE medicines. I told Mom I won't take any more pills unless she agrees to get me some yummy livergreat!!!

So my little brother told woo how I haven't been doing too well. Thanks, ThunderDunder, nice of woo to be so concerned. I went to TheVet on Saturday and they did lots of things I didn't like very much. They took some of my blood - 'hey, stop, I said, I need that stuff.' Then they made me go potty when I really didn't have to. And then I had to lay on a hard table while they took pictures of my tummy. I really would like it if they would put a soft pillow on that table.

So today TheVet called Mom; I don't know what was going on, but TheVet actually called her back three more times. I do know that I have to take two different pills every day twice a day for a long while. I already get one pill for my thyroid twice a day and some liquid stuff for my joint pain. I am not really "up" for two more. So I put my paw down and told Mom she just had to get me some livergreat to help them go down more tastily. I hope she was listening.

[This is Mom taking over for now. The test results on Dakota were a bit mixed. Some aspects were good, others not so good, and a few were questionable. The good news is that Dakota's kidneys are functioning pretty well despite her Cushing's. Her heart is looking pretty good too. But she has a lot of bacteria in her urine, her white blood cell count is very high, and something called neutrophils also have a high count. A couple of her liver counts are also pretty high. So we know that she has an infection of some sort somewhere. Although the x-rays were inconclusive, the vet seems to think there is an issue with her liver, possibly the metastasizing of the adrenal tumor into the liver area. For starters, we are going to treat with an antibiotic that should clear up the urine and may do some good for the liver.

In addition, her blood pressure is very high. She will be starting on medication for that too. We will have her rechecked in about three weeks to see if there is any improvement. Overall, we are seeing some more deterioration in her condition due to the Cushing's.

So keep up the good thought for my sweet princess.]

And don't furgit the livergreat, Mom. Maybe you could git me some Frosty Paws too.

Good thoughts for the Princess

Shhhh, the Princess is resting. She had a tough day.

Most of the time, I like to share silly things with woo, but today I am going to be more serious. As some of woo know, my big sister Dakota has had a rough year. "Thevet" told mom almost a year ago that Dakota has Cushing's Disease. Mom and Dad tried to fix her but the medicine didn't work for her. The Boss Lady has done pretty well for most of the year but the summer has been tough on her. She doesn't come with us any more on our big walkies; Mom takes her for a mini-stroll. And I can't get her to do zoomies with me any more. She still likes to eat - and she likes to eat A LOT!!! But most of the time she just lies down.

Mom noticed that her princess hasn't been seeing very well lately and her eyes had big black things in them. I think Mom said her pupils were dilated. I don't know what all that means but she took the old girl to "thevet" again today. When she came home, Mom was very sad. I don't like it at all when she is sad. She told Dad that Dakota has something called "severe hypertension". Again I don't know what that means but I don't think it is good. Thevet did a lot of tests but won't know anything fur sure until Monday.

So I am here today to ask all of woo to send some special good thoughts and vibes to Dakota.

Inventory Day

Woos to all my pupfuriends out there. It's almost the weekend and that's when my mom gets all her cleaning done. I heard her telling the little bipeds' mom that she needs to put away some of the "kids'" toys because they are getting older and need more stimulating things. At furst I thought she meant me and my buds Dakota and Phantom (they really are old, too) but then I realized she meant the baby bipeds. They sure do have a lot of stuff - take a look at all of this!!!

And this is just SOME of their toys!!!

Then I started to get worried that maybe she would start thinking about my stuff. Now that's not a bad idea because a lot of my stuff is paw-me-downs from the old buds, but I sure hope she doesn't think she can stow away any of my new gizmos. I decided that maybe I should take inventory of my stock.

So I gathered up a lot of it and pawed it out on my bed. Woo can see that I have a couple of wubbas, a green cuz (I couldn't find the orange one), some squeakies, a Christmas wreath, a turkey, a beehive (I ate the bees), a parrot that talks, a rainbow butterfly, a duck, a birdhouse, some birds, squirrels, and lots more.

But as I was checking efurrything out, I noticed that some of the goods are not in the best of shape. Let's take a closer look.

This poor duck has been around since Dakota, the old lady, was just a pup - AND she is going to be 11 on August 15th!!!! Looks to me like he has been in too many muddy ponds, don't woo think? He is very dirty and his quacker doesn't work any more.

And check this out. I have all these little birdies that got booted from their house by the squirrels - I have been trying and trying to get those pesky nuthoarders out of there but I just can't figure it out. And Phantom knows how to do it but he just won't teach me.

And here are two of my favorite bones, see how much I have chewed on the ends - my teeth are much stronger than this dinosaur's.

And that faded frog is in about the same condition as the dirty duck. His ribbit croaked ( ha ha).

Wait, there's more.

I have a whole stash of bones and here you can see how I hide them in the back of my kennel. They are usually covered up with my blanket but Mom took it today to wash it - why does she have to do THAT - I like it stinky!!!

Balls, balls, balls, I have lots of balls and here are a few of my favorites.

Now the four on the right are the absolute best balls to play with, but rut roh, where is the purple one??? Hmmm, those baby bipeds love these balls too, I bet they hid one in those toy boxes woo saw before. I will have to sniff that out tonight. And that big green one at the top with the pawprints on it is my giggle ball - it laughs at me when I push it around.

Oh, oh, here's TROUBLE - Phantom is trying to get away with my new whale!!!! Hey, Phantom, bring that back - that is one of my newest toys. I'll get the duck fur woo.

Now that I have had a chance to examine all my toys, I think I might need to figure out how to get a few new stuffies. A lot of mine are really old and dirty. But WAIT, I know exactly where I can find some AND at the same time I will be helping mom make the babies' boxes have more room for the new more challenging things she wants to bring out. Look what I found!!!!

WOW, I AM GOING TO HAVE THE BEST STUFFIES TO PLAY WITH NOW!!!!

OH, NO, FOILED AGAIN!!!

Silly Boy Thunder Dunder - YOU can't have OURS!!!!

Well, I tried. Guess I will have to work on this some more. And look, I have somebody working to help me out. Here's the other baby biped and he is telling his lady friend to come visit our house so I can have one REAL LIVE stuffie.

What's a Guy to do

Another dull, hot, and sticky day in Kansas!!!! Did I say hot? Yes, HOT!!! Here I am stuck in the house with my bud Phantom, just trying to stay cool. It's HOT!!! Since we don't have anything better to do, we decided to keep looking for puppies out the magic window.

Oh, and in case I forgot to tell woo, it is HOT!!!

IT'S PAWTY TIME!!!!

Happy Sunday to everypup. Look what I found at my place today. A huge Dairy Queen ice cream cake and it has TWO candles on it. Hey, I'm already two, but maybe Mom decided to celebrate my Gotcha Day which is coming up soon and THAT would be a TWO year celebration too.

I was all set to send out a special invitation to all my pup friends out there in blogdog world. But I heard Mom say something about it being the "Big Guys" birthdays. Well, I know I am a pretty big guy but she never calls ME that. It's usually Thunder Dunder or Thunder Boy, or Hey YOU!!!

So I perked up my ears to listen better (by the way my ear got the A-OK from "thevet" yesterday). And I found out that today is a special day for two other big guys in the family. And here they are!

This is one of the human sons-in-law, Justin, and my Dad, David - they share the same birthday - but of course, they were born a few years apart. Don't they look so happy?

Well, I was sad at first that it wasn't my special day, but I decided to let the Big Guys have some fun too. I figured I might be lucky enough to get a lick or two of the ice cream cake. I just love ice cream.

But sadly the Mom-ster strikes again. I thought the Fourth of July was bad enough but now look what she did to me - she said I could be her Prince for a Day. SIGH!!!!!!!

I think THIS humiliation definitely earned me a whole slice of that cake.

We are honored!!!

Here is the cool award the AO4 gave us the other day. It is our first ever. Isn't it just so neat? We love the pink color!!! Even IF it IS feline-ish:)

Since we are new to blogging and we still don't have a lot of blogger friends, we hope you don't mind if we share this wonderful award with some of you who may have already received it from others. As Mom always says, more is sometimes better. So we want to share The Cool Cat Award with Khyra, Steve and Kat, Star and Jack-A-Roo, Maverick the Pirate, Dakota of the East, and then back to the AO4.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?

Dakota?

Thunder?

Phantom?

How could anyone not know the answer to this marvelous question?

Why, without a doubt, it is I, Princess Dakota of OP Land.

(Did you know that OP also stands for "Our Princess"?)

Notice that pretty pink bandana around my neck - I got that at the groomer's place. They agreed that I was just the prettiest girl in town.

Here is another shot of me in my snowy white splendor.

If you look closely, you can see the spot on my side where they shaved me when I had my ultrasound about 10 months ago. "Thevet" says I have Cushing's Disease and that it has made my coat dull and thin. Well, I am proving him wrong as most of my coat has almost grown back and it is brilliant and snowy white. Don't you think so too?

Phantom wanted me to tell you that he really wasn't looking at himself in the mirror. He was pretty sure he saw Mom's puppy in there again - remember the one in the window??? He is such a silly pup. HA ROO ROOOOOO!!!

And, last but not least, the pupster ThunderDunder didn't get the point of the mirror at all. He told me that there was no reason to ask that question at all since we all know who the Boss is around here.

That would be ME!!!

Hugs and Kisses, Dakota

How Much is that Doggie in the Window?

Woo, Thunder here, and good day to all.

Whatever is Phantom looking at?

"Silly ThunderDunder, I am just conjuring up a 'puppy, puppy, puppy' for Mom!!!"

Hey Phantom, that's a great idea. Just what we need.

See, fellow pupsters, I told you Phantom was a sibe of few woos, but woo know what they say --- "A picture is worth a thousand woos."

I Can't Hear Woo!!!

Woo, it's me, Thunder, under here, can woo see me?

I am hiding from the lady biped. She is calling me in that sweet deceiving voice. Can you just hear her - "Oh, Thunder, where are woo? Here, ThunderDunder."

Why am I hiding? Well, take a look.

Reason #1

Reason #2

And the absolute most important Reason #3 - the torture tools!!!!!

Yes, I have an ear infection AND a very dirty ear - at least that's what "thevet" says. He says that's why I have been shaking my head a lot. No, that's not true, I have just been practicing saying NO, since that's what I hear from everyone around here. "No, Thunder, don't do this." "No, Thunder, don't do that." Well, I am just figuring out that I can say "no" too.

So here's the deal. First, she uses #1 to soak my ear with some wet stuff and then she swabs it all out with that white fluffy thing that looks like Dakota's shedded tufts.

OK, I have to give in. It's starting.

Here comes the white swabbing monster.

Then she picks up #2 and takes off the cover. Now the absolute worst #3 is about to happen. She fills that torture tool with what's in #2 and sticks in way down inside my poor ear and then pushes the end of it and releases more goop into my ear.

HELP!!!

It tickles a lot but then the only good part happens. She massages my ear for a really long time. Ohhhhhhhh, that feels sooooooooooo good.

Here comes the boss lady, Princess Dakota. She always has to know what is going on.

"Hey, Thunder, what's happening?"

"Hmmm, doesn't smell too great, glad it's woo and not me."

Well, that's the rest of the story. At least it is done now and I can get some rest. Oh, wait, and where was my brother Phantom all this time? Look - some help you were, bro!!!

And Phantom's reply: "Hey, I need my rest after all those fireworks this weekend!!!"

A Day of Celebration

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

Woos to all,

Today is a day of great celebration – the Fourth of July– the day we celebrate our country’s freedom and independence. Well, we thought it would be a perfect day for some more celebration as we announce the debut of our new blog, The Chronicle of Woos. Some of you have been encouraging our humom for a long time to just get it done – so we pawed our way to the computer and took over.

We are a pack of three Siberian Huskies who live in beautiful Overland Park, Kansas, with our human bipeds. We want to woo you all the news and happenings in our lives. Thunder (that’s me) will be the main spokesdog here since I am the youngest (and the smartest and most handsome if I must say so myself). Dakota is the boss lady (“Princess” to the big bipeds) and she will put in her two “scents” worth once in a while. Phantom (Phobia Boy) is the shy guy here and may be a silent contributor for a while. He takes his time warming up his woo.

Now, back to celebrating. I thought it was a pretty cool idea to use today as opening day until somebody did THIS to me.

How humiliating!!! C’mon, Mom.

She even said I might have to march in the neighborhood parade today with the baby grandbipeds. I’ll save that “tail” for another day.

Mom wanted me to add a special thanks to our good friends in York, PA, Phyll and fluffy-tailed Khyra for all the help they pawed our way. And more applause to the AO4 + 2 and Sitka, Tia, and their Southern Belle Mom Shelli for their encouragement and support as well. Hugs and kisses to all.

Woos, Thunder

Pee Ess: Let the fireworks begin!!!!
