Fishy Friday

Well, it is that wonderful season of Lent at our house. Mom and Dad are Catholic, and so on Fridays during this season, they don't eat meat. Mom can make do with a tasty bagel and an egg omelet, but Dad likes to have more. So I heard her saying he could have a few different things like:

Tuna salad

Salmon

Or how about this one?

Dad wasn't too happy, he said he preferred a juicy piece of swordfish! But Mom reminded him that this is supposed to be a sacrifice not to have meat - not much sacrifice with the price of good swordfish.

Hey Mom, the OP Pack wants to know what we can have too.

She gave us two choices:

This one:

Or this one:

Now those are two good options that we often get added to our kibble, but I went 'fishing' around a bit and made what I think is a good 'catch'.

What do woo think?

  3. Hi everybody,

We are catholic too!! Mommy said if she can't have meat on Friday I can't either. She makes a great tuna casserole with two kinds of cheeese and mushroom soup that is delish and she always let me have a little.

The Mommy loves your Mom's yellow orcids and she wants to know if she could post the picture sometime with our quote of the day.

  4. We love all those fishies in the cans. When Momma or Master open one, we get the juices in our foodables bowls and sometimes they open a whole can just for us!

Watch out for the lobster, though. It can bitey you.

We'd be thrilled to pieces with any of those cans. Mmmm, mackerel. We had that once. Mom swore she'd never open a can of it in this house again. I don't know why - we thought it was heaven on earth!!!

  21. Has your mom ever made salmon croquet's? they are very good and easy to make. 1 can salmon, 2 and a half sleeves of club crackers (crushed with rolling pin) and then add vinegar to ones liking and fry them in oil. Our favorite. And the baby is happening today, her water broke this afternoon! should be here any time now. =)

  22. The croquet's are for adults but are very tasty to me too. No mom's brother will not make it in time. the baby is coming 2 weeks early and the earliest he can get here it 2pm on tomorrow. but all the grandparents are there and my mom is going first thing in the morning with her sister. He is very sad to not be there.
