Thursday's This and That

Phantom wants everyone to know that he has been a very good boy and is cooperating with all his post-op orders. He even came out of his crate for a bit this morning.

Still not terribly happy about this new apparel. But Mom says he can contort his head and neck in such a way that he can lick his wound. So the shirt stays.

One of his favorite things to do, rub the side of his face along the sofa. If you look closely, you can see the spot on the side of his lips where he had a small lump removed. It was just one of those warty things, not a bad one.

Mom, can I please go outside?

He is not happy about going potty while on a leash, so Mom is letting him go out without it under her watchful eye and only long enough to take care of business.

OK, I'm done. Let's go back inside.

Mom is happy to report that he has let her put the compress on his incision and check for swelling. She thinks he actually likes the compress. She did notice that he has managed to pop a stitch but everything looks good. The pill pockets are working so far for his meds, but it won't be long before he figures out what is going on.

We also wanted to let you all know that our three Paw It Forward recipients are Martha and Bailey, Sugar, and the NY Bully Brats. We have pawed off a contribution to the rescue organizations of their choice.

Martha and Bailey - www.caninerescue.co.uk- this is where Bailey came from.

Sugar - http://www.bullterrierrescue.org/ - for bull terrier rescue.

The NY Bully Brats - http://www.thelastresortrescue.com/ - the group that saved Laska.

We hope that our donations will help some other pups in some small way.

Woos, the OP Pack

  3. YOu look so good in a shirt Phantom!! Rather dashing and way better than a cone!

My hairless wonder up in Chicago is currently wearing a modified turtleneck... she gets scrapped up real bad and will lick lick lick and make it so much worse! So shirts and stuff like that are in your best interst, don't try to take it off!

We are glad other great organizations got a donation!! We think your idea was so great, we may just copy you!!

  8. Quite dashing, that shirt!!

But I know how much fun it is to rub yourself all over the sofa edge, or the bedskirt, or anything else that's convenient. (Then watch Mom try to get the oily stains out!!)

Pawsonally, I like to remodel the living room when I come back from a walk, rubbing against a light wicker chair and sending it to different places.

Keep that shirt on, pal!! And we're thinking about you.

    Woofs to Thunder too.

Cheese is Mom's secret weapon for giving pills. She just gets those slices of American cheese and wraps the pill up in it. We love it.
