Monday Musings

Phantom was in a pensive mood today.

Here he is thinking about his pals Dakota of the East, Juno, and Eduardo, each going through a tough time and needing lots of good healing vibes. Please stop by and wish them well.

Window watching - a favorite activity for Phantom.

(Check out TD in the background.)

Always watching for that puppy he so wants.

Playing cute with the Momster.

Helping out
Martha and Bailey with the flashy beast strike.

A rare moment - Phantom found a bone in the toy box.

Checking it out for size.

Taste-testing.

"You know, Mom, you are always complaining that I am losing weight. It might help if I could get a bone with a little meat on it."

And just for a chuckle, TD must have worked very hard today.

ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Woos, the OP Pack

  1. Thanks Phantom for the good sibe vibes. Those pix of you are delightful. And tell yur mom that a little baby food on some delicious chicken would be appreciated! and perhaps a loaf of french sourdough bread...yeah, gluten is the answer for needing extra weight! wooo hoo... and ice cream too. I wouldn't be surprised if you told me your mom is only feeding you iceberg lettuce. (but then again, i wouldn't be surprised if that was a wee fib! tee hee...)
sibe hugs. juno belle is coming home for the night cuz dogtor hilary says she'd be much happier there. but we go back in the a.m. for temp readings and more fluids if needed. sigh... you sibes make us CRAZY with worry.

  4. You know, Phantom, some days are just meant for taking things slowly and easily, thinking things over and sending healing vibes. Looks like today was a good one of those days.

  6. Hi Phantom, we didn't know you wanted a puppy. Technically Fenris is still a puppy (albeit a very large one) you can come visit him whenever you would like. You can even borrow him when the Mom isn't around. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis

    I love bones. ~Fenris

We are all purring for your sick friends. ~S,S,C & F

  7. Window or the bone. That would be a hard choice. The nap overtakes them both.

  8. That bone is a little skinny Phantom. Doesn't help to add meat to your bones when there's no meat on your bones! Cute pictures of you and Thunder today!

  9. I'm with you on the meaty bones, Phantom. Yesterday Dad was eating ribs and I decided that's what I should get instead of nylabones. Dad did not agree.

  11. I think you would like some nice fattening ice cream!

We are feeling sad for the sick doggies.
We went and left some love and some prayers.
It is hard to be happy when animals are sicky and sad.

  23. We are thinking of all of them as well.

Love the photo shoot Phantom. You are very good at the pensive thing.

And Thunder is very good at the, well, "relaxed" Sibe thing.

  24. I've just been coaxing Tsar to eat. He's looking so thin. What is it with you crazy Siberian guys? The Porties would eat till they burst and Tsar only eats about three or four times a week.

  26. Uh oh, now my chronically underweight dog is going to start asking for bones with meat on them! It's not a common problem that we both have - difficulty in keeping meat on our dogs' bones!

I love the photo with Phantom's reflection in the window. Our puppies have always barked at their reflections for their first year of life or so. We give the reflection a name, in Phantom's case, it would be Motnaph - not the most beautiful name but the reflection of Phantom.

  27. Very cute pictures! Who is that dog in the window. Phantom wants him or her to come out and play!!

The bone is a little thin...I think Thunder wants a meaty one although that thin one is what I get!

  28. Phantom's eyes look like they are really asking mom for a juicy bone! great pics!!

  33. Phantom, I(June)love window watching too! But our windows are higher, so I will have to sit instead of laying down to watch.
You are right, a little more meat on the bone would be nice.

  34. Hi Phantom, sorry we are so late, blame mum and work!
We just loved your pics - especially the one in support of the strike action! We also really liked the sweet one of you and your reflection at the window.
You will need to negotiate for a bone with meat on!
A fine big dog like you needs meat!
We will send basset vibes to your friends who are poorly - we have already visited Eduardo.
    Poor Thunder looks worn out!
    love and kisses

  36. Great pictures. We agree with you Phantom. You need a real bone, with lots of meat instead of that nylon one. Hope you get it.
