Thursday - A Day for Thinking and Thanking

With all the sad news that has come across the blogs for the past few weeks, we thought we should take the time to be thankful for what we have. We are so grateful to have all of you who come to visit us and offer us your support and friendship. We are so happy to have a wonderful home and good pawrents to share it with. We appreciate every day that we have to enjoy the beautiful world all around us. We hope you all have wonderful things to be thankful for to.

We want to thank the Honorary Siberian Husky Huffle, our kitty furiend from Australia, for sharing this very nice award with us.

We think Huffle is a very fine blogger buddy too. There are no rules with this award so we offer it to all our true buddies in bloggerland too. Enjoy!

Today we want to show you why it is hard not to cooperate with our Mom and let her take our photos. We were almost out of kibble so she stopped at our local EVO provider. She had told us that there would be no extra goodies this time, just kibble. Well, sometimes she just can't help herself. Look what we got!

In case you can't read the bags, there are Pollock Skin Twists and Sushi with Sweet Potato, Stuffed Salmon Skin Rolls and Sushi with Sweet Potato, and Stuffed Cod Skin Strips with Sweet Potato.

Thanks so much, Mom, we love you. You see, Eva and Brice had sent us some of these treats a while back when we came the closest to guessing Brice's weight. Mom was so excited because Picky Boy Phantom really loved the pollock and sushi chews. But no one in our area carried them. She brought the empty bag to the Barkery and showed it to the manager. He said he would see what he could do. Imagine Mom's surprise when she walked in and saw that they now have a whole range of these yummy products.

Many of you wondered how Thunder could be so good when he posed with all those teddies the other day without any destuffing destruction. Stella even wondered if this was the same pup who had planted his stuffie seed and had hopes of growing many more stuffies. Sorry to say, Stella, but the stuffie tree never did grow. Thunder wants you all to know that those stuffies on the loveseat are not his. They belong to the Momster and the kidlets. Some of them came to live here many years ago when the Momster's kids were little, and some of them are new ones that belong to the little kidlets. The pups never play with those stuffies. They just seem to know that certain toys are not for them.

But, have no fear, we have lots of our own stuffies here too. Here is Thunder posing with most of what he has now. These are just the stuffies, there are lots more toys in the toybox. Most of them are in pretty decent shape. Only the bizarre bird, the tree house, and the beehive have been chewed and destuffed a bit. And some of these stuffies were Dakota's when she was very young. Guess we aren't too hard on them - hope that makes you happy, Max.

Speaking of Max, we are still wooing our best sibe vibes and good thoughts for Max, Juno, Prince, Snickers, Lucie, Eduardo, and all the other pups and kitties out there who are having some hard times. We want all of them to find comfort and to heal completely.

Woos, the OP Pack

  5. Congrats on your award, it is so deserved.

Those stuffies look pretty much intact to us! Star always took furry good care of her stuffie, but then puppyhead came along & destroyed everything he could get his jaws around. Sure, he kept a few nice for a while, but in the end they all suffered the same fate - destuffed before their time. Mom's kind of sad now that she didn't rescue more of Star's toys before it was too late. Oh well. that's the way the stuffie unstuffs.

  8. It has been a really rough time lately with so many pups sick or crossing the bridge (both in the blog world and the belgian world). We continue to cross our paws for those in need.

We love those treats - so yummy and healthy. When Momma gets one of those bags out of our treat drawer, we both know that it's time for our weekly mani/pedi. Brice runs and gets on the guest bed(it's in our room) where he knows he has to wait while I get my nails done first.

  10. Congratulations on your cute Award!
Sometimes for tough guys we think you are just big softies and that pic of Thunder with the stuffies just proves it!
    What a great pic.
We are thankful we have our home together and all our great and amazing blogging pals!
We can see your mom is well trained in the treats department - our mum has been adversely influenced by the vet. He seems to think we need to cut down and we don't agree!!
Your treats looked yummy - enjoy.
We would actually hate not to see your pictures or those of our other friends - we think our situation will soon be sorted. We couldnt have done without all that support though!!
    love and kisses

  12. Wow, you keep your stuffies in good condition. Mom should take pictures of ours, oh yeah, they're scattered all over the place.

Samba says she'd like to come eat at your house. Your treats sound yummy. Are they stinky like the shrimp ones Mom bought?

  18. I am thankful that I have come to know you and Thunder! Your adventures and insights cheer me up, make me think, and amaze me... thanks for sharing. BTW: My trainer, Jesse, says smart dogs need at least 22 toys in their toy box so that they don't get bored (and make mischief). Do you have that many? Oh, and the "extra food supplements" (not treats because mom wasn't getting any) look very yummy!

  21. What a wonderfully well-spoken post! I have to agree on every point made except that those treats are really really good. Although they look absolutely heavenly, I would need to have a taste test before I agreed to that. If you would like a second opinion, please mail me some and I will happily oblige. We won't even discuss the huge amount of unstuffed stuffies. To each his own, is all I can say about that.
No wonder you get such great awards!

  22. Congratulations on your award! It's also great that you can get yummy treats in your area! Thunder, you look so cute posing next to all your stuffies! I don't get stuffies anymore since they end up as little bitty pieces all over the house and Mommy is afraid I'll swallow some. She spoils all the fun.

  25. Congratulations on your award! We join you in thinking of those in need and we are thankful also to have the things we do. Love your toys. That's sure alot of nice toys that are in good shape. Ours are everywhere and some are all beat up and completely destuffed.

  26. My dingo Maggie was like that. she KNEW which were hers to destuff. One day I came home w/groceries. Normally, I would immediately greet her, but i was busy with groceries. After a while I was ready to greet her, what did i find? a dingo, in her bed, with my antique teddy bear, that she knew never to touch and she'd lay on my bed next to it never playing with it. she was in HER bed with it PERFECTLY in tact, and not mangled. she wanted so desperately to say hello and be near me, this was the only way she knew how.

yup, doggies like TD and Maggie are smart and polite.

thank woo for the the kind words. juno needs them. we need answers.
