Here we are at another Tuesday and that means
it's the day we work for Eduardo.

"What was that???? We have today OFF??? A vacation day????? So what exactly does that mean?"

"Did you say I not only have the day off
but you are also going to give me a bonus?"

"I can handle that quite nicely."

"What, there's more???"

"He, he, he, I knew I spotted another Happy Heart in her hand!"

"So what do you think? Should I share the news
with these two?"

Monday Musing

If you have read any of our posts from the past month or so, you may remember that in some of the pictures Dakota has pink fur and in one video you saw some some pink grass. Those problems were all due to the Mom not knowing how to fix a setting on her flashy beastie thing.

But what's up with this?

And this?

At least the hyacinths are still there and they didn't turn pink!

Oh well, thanks, Dakota for finding this odd thing, but I think I will just rest here and muse on this mystery for a bit - after all, it IS Monday.

Saturday Late Edition

Well, we got some snow, but we actually got a lot of slush too. It is still snowing lightly, but it has been very unimpressive. All it really did was ruin our flowering trees:(

Promises, Promises

Take a look at our 5-8 inches of SNOW!!!

The Back Yard.

The Front Yard

HO HUM!!!

NOW they tell us the rain will turn to snow around noon and we will get around 4 inches. SURE!!!! We will only believe it when we see it. We will update later IF it happens.

Where are those pups?

Yesterday Mom was working on her 'puter - sometimes she reads all of your posts too. All of a sudden we heard a sound - and we wondered what it was and where it was coming from. Here are a couple of pics of our reactions.

Ande here is the video to show you some more.

In case you weren't able to figure it out, the Dughallmor Beagles were at our house somewhere but we just couldn't seem to find them. Check out the video at the very end of their True Colours Thursday post to see and hear what we could only hear.

Pee Ess, thanks to all for the nice comments about the house in yesterday's post.

True Colours Thursday - Beige

The color for this week's True Colours Thursday is BEIGE. Not an easy color to show in font color. Almost every wall of our house is painted some shade of builder's beige except for the few that have wallpaper. Mom hates it but it does make decorating a bit easier. Here are a few of the beige items we found.

The bedspread on Dad's parents' mahogany bed.

The "good" china - Lenox Moonspun.

One of the dining room chairs.

The parlor's sofa.

The foyer lamp and doily.

A cute ladybug pillow.

The relaxation zone.

Dakota's cache of bones.

Phantom's Gentle Leader - can you tell how much he LOVES it?

And of course, TD's bed.

This is a fun game to play. If you want to play, just visit Blue and find out how.

It's Tuesday again . . .

. . .And the OP Pack is hard at work for Eduardo.

As you know, we live in the land of Oz. We were expecting lots of severe weather last night but, as often happens, the weather folks were wrong. All we got was lots of rain and wind with a little thunder and lightning. We were also hoping to see some of the munchkins, but when we were headed out for our walk yesterday, we found that we had had a visit from the "mulchkins". All the front landscapes have fresh red cedar mulch. Of course, the OP Pack had to get right down to work and snoopervise the job they had done.

Something is different here.

These pretty hyacinths opened up overnight and someone gave them a new blanket.

Mom, look, those mulchkins left some on this shrub - not a very neat job here.

Hey, I think there is something inside here.

OK, this looks pretty good, how are things on your side, Phantom?

I'm checking it out, give me a sec.

Mom, why did you let them cover up all the good smells?

Hey, Dakota, I think this little boy let his pup leave us some pee mail.

Looks like this little girl is trying to trick the birdie into eating the mulch.

I think I hear the bell for break time ringing.

Whatever, can we get this walk started?

Storm's a-brewing

Phantom does not like thunderstorms or wild weather of any sort. He likes to hide in his crate or behind a tree outside or tucked in a corner near the deck.

Today has been an extremely windy day here, winds gusting to 55 mph, and the possibility of severe storms overnight. Phantom knew THIS yesterday. He has been doing his best to hide all day long. Mom decided she needed to find a way to distract him. Looks like this worked, at least for a few minutes.

Super Saturday

We are so excited to share our big win with woo. We won a contest over at Travis' blog. LOOK!

We are so happy and honored to receive this award, the first time we have won a contest. Thank you, Travis, and all who voted for us. Congratulations to the other nominees as well.

We also are having a Super Saturday because we got a big package in the mail this week. Mom finally placed a new order with our good furiends at Happy Hearts. If you click here or on the link in our sidebar, you can take a look at all the goodies they have to offer.

As you can read on the Happy Hearts website, "Happy Hearts Dog Cookies are made with fresh wholesome ingredients, including fresh fruits, whole wheat flour, unbleached all-purpose flour, oat and potato flours, sugar-free peanut butter and no sugar added cranberry juice. All of the ingredients that I personally use. Therefore, there is constant quality control by me and my dogs. I would never sell or give anything to another dog that I would not give to my own dogs."

Here is the box.

Here are some closeups of the cool stamps on the outside of the box.

Inside the box, we found this note.

And inside we found a stickie paper with an alert on it.

Here is a closeup of the cookie cake - it's all gone now. Yummy Yummy!! It was blueberry banana flavored and was as big as a big dinner plate.

Everyone got to have some one-on-one sniffing time with the cookie cake.

Here's the Princess checking out all the bags.
Can you believe how much we got?

If you click on this pic and bigify it, you can read
all the ingredients in this flavor.

These are Pumpkin Oat cookies.

And these are Sweet Potato cookies.

And these are Peanut Butter Oat ones.

And this plate shows an assortment of the Howliday treats. There are all different shapes: bunnies, carrots, ducks, bones, little double hearts and baby squirrels.

Thank you, Happy Hearts, for sending us these delicious treats. And, of course, hugs and kisses to Mom for ordering them. Mom said to warn you pups that your humans will be tasting your cookies too - that's how good they are!!!
