Monday Meme and Awards

We are very remiss in not taking care of this meme that was passed along to us way back in December by Canine Crusader form Dog Blog for Five Dogs. We apologize for taking so long to get to it, but the holidays just got in the way. So better late than never.

The challenge is to go to the fourth or seventh folder in your My Pictures folder and post on your blog the fourth or seventh image from that folder. You then challenge friends to participate by inviting them via the blog entry. If you don’t use the My Pictures folder, find the 4th or 7th folder with pictures and choose the 4th or 7th picture. It does not have to be related to your blog! If you have folders within folders, you can choose the fourth folder within the fourth folder and the fourth image within that folder.

So here is the 7th picture in the 7th folder in our iPhoto Albums.

Phantom eagerly awaiting a taste of Dad's homemade apple pie. And yes, he did get some. This photo actually appeared in one of our blog posts a while ago.

It is always fun to look back at old photos. If you would like to play this game and share a photo with everyone, we would love to pass this along to you. And thanks to the Canine Crusader for sharing it with us.

We have also received another award from both Cocorue and also Candy and Captain Crunch
that we would like to post about.

This award was created by the Purple Hatter and sweet Cocorue offered it to all of those who had commented on one of her posts. Then we were thrilled to also have it awarded to us by the cute little ones Candy and Captain. The only rule is to share it with at least 5 friends. As you all know, we don't always abide by the rules, so we are going to offer this award to all of you, and in particular to these five bloggers:

The Canine Crusader at Dog Blog for Five Dogs
Alassandra, Fenris, and the kitties
Jack-A-Roo
Tommy and all the beautiful kitties at The Pouponette
Mona and her Mommy

And one more thing, Candy and Captain Crunch have started a new club for all pups (and other furanimals too) called the Pup Scouts of America. Here is the badge.

We think the badge will bigify if you click on it, but just in case, here is what the oath states:

Pup Scout Oath:
On the honor of my paw I will do my best
to do my duty to my fur and non-fur community
& to obey the Pup Scout Law
to help other pups and their people at all times
to keep myself in tip top pup condition,
furry aware & ready at a moments notice.

What a great pledge!!! If you would like to join the Pup Scouts of America, just pay a visit to Candy and Captain Crunch at I Need a Sugar Fix and let them know you want to be part of this great organization. We will be displaying our badge proudly.

It looks like we might finally be emerging from the recent Ice Age that descended upon the Midwest. But now we have a very big job ahead of us. Here is what we are working on now.

You look that way, Thunder. I have this side covered.

What do you mean- what are we doing? We are on guard for the Snow Thief who is going to make our snow go away with the warm temps coming in this week.

Woos, Phantom and Thunder

  5. We hate to say this but we would gladly take the snow thief off your hands... We have been stuck at the bottom of our lane since last Wednesday and there is no sign of anyone clearing it! If we didn't have the Internet, we would think that the worlds had vanished!

Thank so much for thinking of us for that lovely award!

  6. Just think guys, if the snow theif comes and steals the USED (yellow) snow, then the Snow God from the North may send you piles of NEW (white) snow about this time next week.

  8. That snow thief is everywhere and is supposed to be coming here.

One of his accomplices, the snow plow, has been near us a lot. We always react to it - and not because the guy who drives it always gives us ear scratches and belly rubs. No, not because of that.

  25. You two look fabulous in the snow!

The snow thief arrived here today and took all our snow away and the NSLM is so upset. All schools across the country had been closed until Wed - because of the snow forecast but somehow (thankfully) the snow wasn't as bad as the weather said and then the rain came today so the schools are opening up again tomorrow.

The NSLM's Mom is very pleased - this will be the first day back since the Christmas hols but the NSLM went to bed very unhappy!

    take care
    Clive

  27. Phantom looks like h e has a brown coat in those pictures. I had to do a double take to recognize him!

Speaking of apple pie, I am still waiting for mine. I don't know how successful I will be because my mom doesn't like it so I don't think we've had any in our house. Maybe I will have to settle for just the ala mode part.

  41. hey ther TD and Phantom!!

we agree. a strict watch must be maintained to prevent anyone from stealing away your snow. I'm pretty sure I'd join you in that cause if I lived there.

but, should the snow thief succeed, can you at least tell him to pass by here and bring us at least 2 sacks of snow? :D

    happy snow year!

  55. Apple pie! You are one lucky dog! You guys have been busy blogging. We didn't see one snowflake this year. The weather man is always wrong about snow, but he's right about rain! Yuk! Chloe, our Eskimo Spitz, laid out in the cold while the others were inside staying warm. She would have loved to share your snow. Thank you so much for including us in the Share Your Love Award, Moms heart was touched. Thanks also for stopping by and thinking of us while we were away. Mom visited Ziggy's blog and posted a message. You guys are good friends in the dog blog community, we're so glad to have found you!
