  8. Our Memorial Day is in November in the UK but we pause and remember with you - such a sacrifice is worth reflecting on much more than once a year.

  17. Happy Memorial Day to you guys too! I think today is really getting to mom more than usual this year. Her nephew just joined the Army a month ago and he will be going to the front lines when he is done with training. But, we have a family full of service men and women. Even so, I don't think any of us will ever fully understand the sacrifices that are made.

  18. In Hawaii, a fresh flower lei is placed on the graves of veterans. We almost didn't have the 50,000 needed, but in the end the people and businesses came through and we had enough.
