Come walk along with Phantom

Parts of this video are very poor in quality because the sun was so bright, but I think you will enjoy meeting my furiends. This is the closest they have ever come to me, and Mom said I was very well-behaved around them. Enjoy.

My ouchie looks a lot worse on the video than it is. It is healing very well and the scab is getting smaller and smaller. Now if I could just get rid of the stupid pills.

Ciara and Thunder got to go for a walk together later. Since Mom took a bad tumble recently when she tripped over her big feet in the road while walking us, she has started to walk me alone and then TD with Ciara. She's OK, but she sure did have a lot of bruises.

Woos, Phantom

  1. I clicked on the video before reading the rest of the post, I was just thinking watching it, that his face is healing up well.
Thats so funny when they came up to him, he looked a little unsure, and no barking, well done Phantom.
Hope your pride was not hurt to much, taking that tumble.

  2. Woo-hoo! Well, we certainly weren't expecting to see THOSE GUYS! That is so furry khool! I think they liked woo a LOT, Phantom! We're glad your ouchie is getting better, and hope your mom's do the same.

PS - Mom also came to the conclusion that when walking Sibes, 2 is her limit.

  3. Whoa! I loved the Donkey Welcome!

Don't feel bad about falling - I faceplanted on my driveway a couple of weeks ago - tripped on a sprinkler. Man, it still hurts!

Phantom looks great - glad to hear he's better!!

  4. Dude! My mom takes me to see those giant dogs with hard feet too! Scary... I bark at them just to make sure they know I'm not going to take any of their crap!

  5. Looks like you had a great time on your walk. You mean your mom doesn't put your pills in a spoonful of peanut butter to give them to you? You need to look pathetic until she does.

    Wags!

    Mr. Nubbin'

PeeS. Note from Nubbin's mom have you tried the Pill Pockets, Petsmart and Petco carry them. You just tuck the pill in and pinch close and they think it's a treat and it's gone before they realize! We love them. They are fabulous for cats!

  6. What a great video - and your ouchie doesn't look too too bad - we are just happy that it is healing and getting smaller and will be ouchie-no-longer soon!

And tell your mom that falling happens to all moms - our mom was doing all the weekend cleaning and tripped and fell and has a bunch of bruises. She says she tripped from the bookcase, but we saw it and she tripped on her own feet!

  10. I haven't heard donkeys bray in such a long time - sort of a treat! But a better treat to see how well your face has healed and scar on your hip too - what a lot to deal with Phantom, and you're doing it so well! What good behavior you show with the donkeys! They definitely like you! But I feel awfully for your Mom - taking bad tumbles hurts and bruises, as my mom knows - she's fallen too - a few times while walking Avalon and me!

Do they live in a subdivision with an HOA? I'd love to see their covenants. BOL

  31. Love those furiends of yours! You are so patient with them :) Looked like you carefully navigated a busy street on your walkie!!! Cuidado my friend. Hope your mom is ok from her walkie injuries. I've tipped my mom over on walkies a few times...don't like seeing her tears :(

  33. I am really impressed with Phantom's and meeting his friends. We have horses at the end of our street, most of the dogs have no problem with them, but ever since Brut was young he is always ready to challenge them. He is actually scared to death of them, and has never really gotten over his fear. We are working on it, little by little. Nice job Phantom.

Sorry to hear about your fall. I can only walk one dog at a time and it makes for nice alone time with them. Hope you feel better.

  34. I didn't get to watch the whole video because I have dial up internet and it took too long and I had to leave before it got done downloading but you look so good, Phantom! I forgot all about that owie on your hip there. Glad it's better than it looks. I'll try to remember to come back and watch it in full when I have more time.

  35. I have been trying and trying to leave you comments since 09/11Blogger is being cranky. I finally made it over the hurdles and I wanted to say Phantom, just keep getting better.

  37. Did you see that movie "Snow Dogs" Your guys remind me of that movie and snow. I LOVE snow! Gizzy would probably too because he has that double coat and since he's Pekingese, his breed is used to snow since it snows in China.

I don't know how you can get anything done with these pretty pups around. I'd be cuddling with them all day...they just have the cleanest, softest looking fur in the world.

Maybe in the snow you can have them pull you in a sled? (A small sled, the kind the kids use)

  38. Interesting friends you have there. :)

  39. I just popped over from Doris's blog, 'cause I saw your adorable pups! It's my dream someday to have a husky... but lack of a permanent home base means the time is not right. Someday though!

Hope mom's bruises are healing quickly...my dad took a spill in the driveway last week and his elbow is scraped up and his knee bruised (he looks a mess). You ouchie shave is just as perfectly geometric as Quinn's...like a big window on the side.

  48. Wowzer! Loki (and Juno) need to take lessons from WOO! I think Loki would have a heart attack if he heard the donkey we go by "eeeeoarrrr!" He would definitely have a seond one if it walked up to him. Juno on the other hand would be anxious to, um, well, get up close and personal to them. And I'm not talking about being nice!

So we need lessons from the big man himself. you wanna come on over here and show us how it's done?

  50. Phantom, we enjoyed the video so much. Murray loves donkeys and he also got great fun out of watching Clive react here to the noise of the donkeys braying ...

Clive was nearly climbing into the laptop to join Phantom!

We hope your Mom's bruises heal soon and she looks after herself. One of our friends broke her leg recently when she tripped over the guide dog puppy she was puppy walking. No fun at all!

  52. Wow, Phantom! That was really fun! I like your furends, even if they are a little noisy. But I think that they like you! Well, at least that one that came right up to the fence. You did a really good job not skeering him. I think those donkeys kinda skeer easy.

  54. Sorry to hear about your fall. When I saw that last video I was amazed that you could walk all 3 at once. I can barely keep up with each of mine and there's only 2 of them!! He did a great job on that meeting, too. Arwen would've been at the end of the lead to try and "catch" them!! Thanks for the video ;)

  63. Oh I am so sorry your Mama fell. I know about that too. I fall every so often on our walks.
I tried to leave a picture of the coons on your guest book and I don't think it went through. It takes forever as does a video. Someday I'll load when I have a few hours to let it load!!! That is what it takes to see a video is hours.

  66. We LOVE videos like that one, Phantom! It' fun for you, AND it's fun for US! You are such a good leader ... and you know the rules about crossing the street and making sure your moma is safe. (We liked seeing her shadow.) We were sorry to read that she had gotten bruised up falling ... but glad she's okay and has figured out a way to modify the walks so everyone can be safe.

Those donkeys sounded so funny! Do you think they were telling a joke? Or asking a question? It was hard for us to tell. But you sure were a respectful listener. Maybe one day they'll walk along even further with you! We sure would.

Tell Ciara Fergi is still happy from her time in NYC together. She's starting to get some peach fuzz growing in ... just like Phantom ... next time we think she should not shave her legs so close.

    Enjoy your weekend, wonderful family!
    Love

  71. Just got done watching this. I didn't notice your face scab at all, Phantom!

You were much better behaved with your furiends than my boys would ever be. Chico would've barked at them and then Shiver would've joined in. I loved hearing them bray.

I felt bad after posting my first comment that I neglected to say that I hope your mom's bruises are all healed up now. That sounds like a painful fall.
