Our good sibe furiends Jack and Moo had a great idea for something special to do on this Howloween weekend. Here is what they suggested:

"SHOW US YOUR TREAT JAR"
blog photo day!

And we'd like woo to pawticipate!
It's simple: no trick to it--
Put a picture of your treat jar on
your blog on Sat. October 30th!

...and if woo can, please take a box of treats to your local shelter - our furbros & sis's "behind bars" will love it!

And so the OP Pack and the Momster decided this was one activity we could surely pawticipate in. We decided to put a little twist on the donation part. We all know how tough the economy is and how many people are out of work and struggling to meet their essential needs. We have some friends from our Mom and Dad's church who have been having a very hard time between job losses and serious health issues and subsequent bills. Through our church our family has been helping them in many ways. But they also have a beautiful old dog, and we thought that we would surprise her with a Howloween treat gift. No tricks required, just some yummy treats for our furiend. We are not posting any photos or pics of the family or their sweet pet because we aren't sure how they would feel about that, but here is a pic of our donation that Mom is going to drop off this afternoon.

The tartar control biscuits will be good for her teeth, and the senior milkbones will make sure she gets the right treat for her age. And then those liver treats are just so yummy we want to be sure she gets some of those too.

Now for OUR treat jar. We actually have a treat cabinet.

Here is a little peek.

But that's not all.

Could there be more??? Oh yes, look!

Maybe you can't see what is behind those treat jars. We will spread the goodness out a bit.

Those are our super duper yummy Catch of the Day treats with lots of good fishy smells. Then there are Yummy Chummies and liver treats for training.

Yes, you are so right, we ARE spoiled:)

Do we look ready?

Aww, c'mon, Mom, can we all please have one more? Look how much Phantom enjoyed that salmon treat. And how can you resist us synchronized and cute head tilters?

Happy Howloween and Halloween to all.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  22. As someone who has been out of work for way too long, I just want to say thank you for all that you've done for your friends! I know that family truly appreciates it! I love that you got their dog treats. I'm sure with the lack of money in the family, any treats for him were few and far between.

Wow, I better not let my dogs see this post. They'll wonder why they don't have nearly as many treats as you do. Plus, they'd try to invite themselves over and "share" them with you. bol

  45. Our treat area looks a lot like yours. Mom says we take up half the pantry with our treats. We keep telling her we can fix that and give her more space, but she insists on being stingy.

That's a very nice Halloween treat for your friend. We like to drop off treats for the doggies at the shelter waiting for their forever homes. It makes Mom cry, but she still likes to do it.
