Monday's Mania and Merriment

Hard as it may be to believe from this photo, Ciara is afraid of the Christmas tree. Mom had to put superglue on her bottom to get her to "stay" for the pic:) BOL (AND bribe her with a piece of salmon skin.)

We have received so many wonderful cards from so many of you - thank you all so much. We are trying to figure out the best way to display them. They are all so very nice. And the wishes and sentiments that come with them are just beautiful.

As many of you have noted, this is an incredibly busy time for all of us. We don't really want to go so far as to say we are taking a blogging break, but we think the time has come for us to slow down the pace a bit. We are doing our best to keep reading and commenting as much as we can, but the Momster said we are really struggling to "get it all done". So we are going to try to visit as often as we can and put up a short post here and there. In the meantime, we send you all good wishes during this busy time.

Sorry Ciara is scared of the tree. She'll get over that when Santa Paws puts all those goodies under there though. I'm just sayin.

We think your Momster should do whatever she needs to to have a lovely, blessed, stress-free time planning for Christmas -- so please tell her not to worry about anything else!!!

  25. That picture is fantastic! Wow! It looks like a professional photographer took it.

Ciara, be careful! Years ago, when just Treat and Hawk lived here, one night while Mom and Dad were out, Hawk's toy got too close to the tree. He reached in to get it, got caught on the lights, and took the whole thing down! The next year, the tree trunk got soft in the stand and that one fell over on him twice! He never met a Christmas tree that he didn't give the stink eye to. So be careful around that thing!

We sure understand about the holidays being busy! Mom and Dad have to go to FIVE family Christmases. Mom calls this "the season of poverty!"

We will be waiting during the doldrums of January and February to reconnect and hear all of your stories and adventures. Know we are thinking of you and wishing you all the most wonderful snowy season.

  32. The picture is lovely. Us cats don't do sit stay and certainly now with Fenris next to us, so there is no way the Mom can get a picture of all of us under the tree. U make it look so easy.

  34. We don't blame you Ciara. Those trees have been known to fall down and trap totally innocent Siberians that were not running and playing tag under the tree, despite the fact that a certain Natasha was found sitting in the middle of said fallen tree when she was a puppy. A picture of innocence.

  35. And there be a prawblem with being skeered of Chrissmuss trees? Trees belong OUTSIDE not INSIDE! Hope that supah gloo comes off you behind, Ciara. But it do be a bootiful pikshure of you three, pawfect fur a Chrissmuss cars.

  39. I LOVE trees Ciara! But you are correct, they do not belong in the house all covered with lights and shiny balls that pups cannot play with!

We sure will miss you all but totally understand about the break, the Holidays are stressful and busy for everyone!

    Have a Pawsome Howl-a-Dawy!

We have you in our list its just that piappies mom is so loaded with W-O-R-K that we got to be a bit more patient. Hope you guys understand.

  63. We give woos 4 paws up fur that picture! It is furry nice!
We cannot believe that Miss Ciara is afraid of the tree!
Dad is always yelling at us fur wagging our tails too close to the tree. Mom has to leave the bottom of the tree bare as our tails kept "sweeping" the ornaments off the tree or the ornaments get hooked on our tails.

Shiver tends to scare easily. I just have a mini Christmas tree but I'm sure if I have a big one, he'd be afraid of it. And Chico would just pee on it. lol

Your tree is beautiful, as are your three dogs.

  81. We LOVE this picture!!!! Super glue, or no!

We've been trying and trying to keep up with reading ... even if we don't leave comments. It's always a treat to come see the OP Pack ... you've gotta be some of the most handsome doggies in OP ... if not all of Kansas! If not all of the midwest. (OK. We're getting a little carried away! But you deserve it!)

We are watching Moma scurry around like crazy trying to get ready to leave for another road trip ... and we're pretty sure that we might get to go ... 'cause we see a pile of our stuff growing and growing! We hear them say we may be leaving very very soon. Moma'll email you .... she knows the details that we don't quite understand. But it has something to do with weather. And a cemetery. And a motel near the cemetery!

    Hmmmm.
