A twist on True Colour Thursday

We are still hoping Spring is going to come back soon and stick around for a while. The Momster had some workers here, and they put down some fresh mulch in our landscape beds - you know, the ones that are missing lots of shrubs and plants due to the resident canine gardener.

Yes, Mom. We are being very good - look how nicely we are posing for you and see how white our furs look against this lovely rich red mulch.
And you don't see any holes, do you?

Later in the day . . . . .

Did she go for a fancy spa treatment and pawdicure?

A closer look for you.

So what's the problem, Mom? You keep saying I am a red and white sibe - I just found a natural way to keep my "True Colours".

Woos, Ciara

  7. That's pretty funny! OuR mommy is amazed at how yours keeps that white carpet clean. It would look like a mess if we had it. We track in so much and then of course I do my trick with the water from my beard (Hootie doesn't drip all over like I do). You are to be commended!

  9. You mum is brave to have that pale carpet...or maybe she has some great cleaning tips.

Apart from the red paw thing - that mulch looks like a good idea for the humans who don't understand the concept of canine gardening.

You look beautiful as usual today

    Love and licks, Winnie xx

  16. Secrets to white carpets would be much appreciated here. We think the mulch looks much like the red dye that Indian brides use on the palm of their hands. Is there a surprise wedding in the future?

  27. I am sure that what happened was that the sprinklers came on and were on for a little too long, so when a certain Siberian princess walked through the mulch, completely unaware, mind you, that new mulch stained her beautiful white feet! Yep! I'm sure that's what happened!

  46. Wow, there's the proof of a job well done! Someone has to make sure there are no ground moles or chipmunks down in that mulch. I think you did a great job! Your peeps should be very happy...just remind them that they don't want critters tunnelling in the mulch!

  47. Kind of hard to protest your innocence, Little One! But your red "gloves" do look very ladylike. Can the carpet be saved? And the mulched areas?

  48. Red slippers! So beautiful! Is the garden still beautiful, sweet Ciara?

    I've missed you all.

  49. Could you maybe send those worker over my way when they're done there? I could definitely use them in my yard.

I never cared much about the back yard and haven't taken care of it like I should because I don't do anything back there other than let the chi's do their business back there. Only now I have a neighbor whose backyard links to mine. I can see she's been doing a lot of work in her yard and it looks like she's got lots more plans, if all the wood and bricks and things are any indication. So now I feel like I need to do something with mine.

That red soil really does look nice with Ciara's coat.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hehehe. You should see my yard! I don't have red bark, but my feet still tell on me every time. Darn feet, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  51. You know, Ciara, the peoples at your house all laughingly call you the little canine gardener and thats fine. But give it a try, red up the feets a little and they get upset!

    Whats the deal??
