Crazy days here with all this roof work.
Our entire schedule has been brutally disrupted. All three of us are upset by the intrusion in our yard. Phantom doesn't want to eat, and TD and Ciara both have sick tummies. We had the Momster up three times with us wanting to go out last night. Actually we HAD to go out.
I am crossing my paws that this work will end soon. I really miss not being able to play outside, and the noise is horrible.
A note from the Momster:
When you go inside your garage and look up, you really shouldn't be seeing the sky:(
Somebody dropped something and it came right through the garage finished ceiling.
This is the mess we have. There have been lots of heated exchanges with the workers, getting them to respect our property. They are doing a good job on the roof, but it is the rest of the property we are worried about.
It has been three days now and we aren't even close to the halfway point:(
Poor Ciara is so bored - she tried to have some fun as you can see in this video, but some pup was not interested in playing.
Not feeling so great today, I just want to be left alone.
What happened to my "home sweet home"?
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Awwwwww, Ciara just takes her role as little sister seriously! She's just trying to help everyone pass the time!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hate to see those pictures of your beautiful home. Find a happy place, find a happy place.
We're hoping this is over soon for you.
Mom says that the roofers put piggys to shame! She hopes that all your bushes make it through the rough roofers!
ReplyDeleteHang in there Sibe's we just know it wil be over soon!
woos, Tessa
Woof! Woof! Oh My ... totaly can understand. I'm Whiney too today so sleeping my own way. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteYikes. I'm done nagging the Knight about our roof. It isn't a NEED per se, and I'm sure the noise and disruptions would stress Gretchen to no end.
ReplyDeleteHope harmony returns to your home soon.
Sigh. Hope it's all over soon. Doggies hate home improvement. PS - watch for those nails when they're all finished.
ReplyDeleteOh, we are so sorry you are having to put up with this huge mess. We are purring that everything will be fixed soon and you will have your home sweet home back.
ReplyDeleteYou poor things.......and your poor mom, too!! Construction work is NEVER Fun.
ReplyDeleteI bets you all have an Excedrin headache from all that banging going ons.......
(butt Ciara does cross her paws VERY nicely! I hope it works...)
Good grief! When our mom sees roofers in our area, they're always tossing stuff down into gigantic dumpsters that get hauled away. Why aren't they using a few of those at your home? That's ridiculous, to make that much mess!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to rain into your living room, but check Patience's recent post on roofers and dog tummies.
ReplyDeletehttp://patience-please.blogspot.com/
I think it will be the second one down.
barb
Your beautiful yard looks like a tornado went through OP. You must be furious! Ciara, woo are too cute!!!
ReplyDelete-Gizmo, Bart and Ruby
Oh! Stumpy and I definitely feel your pain! I used to schedule renovations, etc. around my vacation.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe TD can resist Ciara's charm!
Happy, Waggin' Tails, FUREVER!
Stumpy and me
We hope you have your Home Sweet Home back to normal soon!
ReplyDeleteThor and Jack
Mom is breaking out in hives just thinking about it! We do not want to imagine having to go through that. I hope they get done soon!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any puzzle toys, Ciara? That might help pass the time.
Bunny
You poor things!!! Hopefully it will all be over soon!
ReplyDeleteAROOOOF!
Boondocks and The Love Shack Pack
This is not sumpthin' Mom needed to see right now as we are waitin' for a phone call to say that our remodelers are ready to start destruction and "re-struction" of our kitchen. I saw her take a big "GULP" when she saw the mess in your yard. Paws crossed that the roofers do a good job and get outta town soon.
ReplyDeleteWoofs and structured slobbers,
Chester ;0=)
*I know this is not good fun with strangers makin' noise and all but really-not eatin' and gettin' sick is gonna make things worse. I can't imagine ever gettin' so upset that I don't eat. ;0=)
We hope things get back to normal soon.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie
It does look like they are making a terrible mess of your yard. I hope things get back to normal soon.
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Look at the mess they made to your poor yard! We will keep out paws crossed too
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Awww... poor Sibes! Hope the repairs are done soon and everyone can go back to normal!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, is there any wood left on your home? That is a lot of work.
ReplyDeletePoor Ciara....just wants to play.
We hope its done soon!

Oh wow! A hole in your ceiling and a mess in the yard? That is so not right! We hope the rest of the roofing ordeal goes more smoothly than it has so far. We're just shocked at the mess!
ReplyDeleteWe feel sorry for the dogs too and hope Phantom starts eating and that somepup wants to play with Ciara! Many hugs to all of you!
Wow, what a mess. I hope they can get that done soon. I know how disruptive things like that can be, especially for our pets who don't understand what just happened to their world.
ReplyDeleteThat mess is completely unacceptable. The Mr. is was always so fastidious about job sites when he worked on other people's houses that they be left neat and as clean as possible at the end of the day. Does seem like it is taking a long time too. I hope it all gets straightened out.
ReplyDeleteMango Momma
Wow! We hope they finish up soon. That does not look like fun. Mom says she would rather move than have repair work done on a house! We think it must be some kind of rule that when something is being repaired, something else has to break. Don't know for sure, but that always seems to be the way it is! Good luck to all of you!
ReplyDeletePeeS - You all look beautiful even when you're bored :)
The Road Dogs
We hope things improve soon. We HATE workers in our yard. We feel for you.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
We feel for you! What should be okay turns out to be a mess and you or us just want to run away!!! We had our contractor out today and had to call the police and Code Enforcement because the "...." next door came out and caused a mess. The .....guy said in front of the police that he was going to pull my shed down with a chain and refused to move his clown mobile. It was a horrible day. My contractor got really upset but did things by the book....I had to keep coming back inside the house. The police ran off after telling him to MOVE away and I told code enforement on the phone I didn't blame them...I wanted to leave to! Let's all go on a nice vacation! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
ReplyDeletePoor puppies. I hope the men are gone soon!
ReplyDeleteDad makes lots of heaps of stuff too and it's mom's job to clean it all up! Hang in there guys - it can't last forever! We are as bored as you are.
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
What a mess those roofers are making! Murray's Dad was involved in the construction business for a long time - health and safety on site was always a big part of any job and particularly with residential houses when work was being done! We couldn't believe the mess those roofers are making of your garden apart from the danger of all that debris!
ReplyDeletePaws crossed it gets completed as quickly as possible!
We hope your Mom has a quieter night tonight and everyone's tummies are a bit more settled. We use Bach's Rescue Remedy here when there are stressful situations and it always works really well on Clive - who has a very sensitive tummy!
Thinking of you all,
take care
Clive and Murray
OMD! That is a mess! I sure hope they clean up after themselves. There's nothing more disruptive than construction - it is so stressful for everyone. Paws crossed that is all over soon (and that they do a good job)!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
P.S.: I just read your comment. People (like the UPS guy and postman) often think I am a bigger dog based on my bark and then are surprised when they see me. BOL!
Wow, I'm so sorry your ceiling has the sickies! That's bad. I'm sending some healing thoughts to your roof...just in case it might help. Hope those workers fix this quick so life gets back to normal. More importantly: I'm sending healing vibes to all of you so your tummy sickies, sore ears and boredom are all chased away.
ReplyDeleteGrr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
I cannot believe the mess they are making!!! And the poor pups...that settles it!
ReplyDeleteYou all get in the car and come stay with us for the remainder of the blasted project!
I really hate this for you!!!
Big hug,
~K
Oh-oh!
ReplyDeleteThey are making a mess!
I hope they will fix everything by the time its finished!
Ciara sure needs to burn lots of energy!
I hope you all feel better soon!
Take care
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Great paw work Ciara!
ReplyDeleteHugz&Khysses,
Khyra
PeeEssWoo: BOYZ!
OoH I sure hopes dat dose peoples get their work done soon so all of you can be happy again!
ReplyDeleteWoof and Licks,
Maggie Mae
I hate to hear that the pups are getting sick. Do you read Patience=Please blog? Yesterday she wronte about The Runs and Staple Guns, describing how her dogs got a bacteria sickness from the stuff that had been up on the roof. Go to http://patience-please.blogspot.com/ and scroll down. You will find it interesting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a mess they have made, that is just awful!
Cheers,
Jo
Oh no...your pretty flower beds...Arggg! I guess you can't put up a little fence around it to keep out the roofers...
ReplyDeleteHope it gets finished up and cleaned up soon!
Wyatt
oh no! well, it will be done soon. hope you all get extra treats (and hugs too!)
ReplyDeleteWow - what a mess! Good thing nobody (or a car) was in the garage when that fell through!
ReplyDeleteSam
Wowsers, your yard is a MESS! I can see why momster makes you stay inside...are the little bipeds about, too? We so feel your boredom and pain about the situation....we don't have roofers, just high temps. Maybe we should all just hop in our cars and meet somewhere where we can have fun.
ReplyDeleteYikes! That is some pile!!
ReplyDeleteHope all gets done as soon!
Cheers,
Maxxc
Ciara, you are so funny! You sure know how to entertain yourself! And TD really has the chompers! His snap was awfully loud! :->
ReplyDeleteI think you pups are better off inside as it is going to be VERY hot the next few days.
Sorry Phantom is not eating. We hope he feels better soon. :-<
So sorry about your roofers. At least they are getting the roof done right, that is important. When my human K's mom had roof work done in the late 1990s, the roofers left nails and wood bits all over the yard, and one even broke a drinking glass and just left it in the yard! It took three days to clean up their mess. It was horrible. We hope your roofers will clean up after themselves. And we hope they do O.K. in this big heat wave coming. I wouldn't want their job in this heat! Blah.
Suka (and K)
Oh, poor things! I hope everything gets fixed mighty soon and you get to play again! I'm sending good vibes to all of you that the tummy problems go away soon!
ReplyDeletePepsi
OMD.
ReplyDeleteWe can't stand strangers at our home either. I feel you furiends!!!
ReplyDeleteBut M says to be nice and wish good luck to your humans, so there: Good luck to all.
Twinkie
Wow, they have really made a mess of your beautiful yard!!
ReplyDeleteWe hope they are done soon so that things can get back to normal!!!
Pugs & Kisses,
Yoda, Brutus & Ellie
Oh oh, I'd be really upset about that mess in the yard and the hole in the ceiling. These projects are hard enough to get thru without that sort of thing happening.
ReplyDeleteYou all look so peaceful even with all the work going on around you! What beautiful specimens of poochiehood you are!
ReplyDeleteSmooches from pooches,
BabyRD & HOotie
I sure hope things are getting better with the pups and the roofing project. Hopefully they are cleaning up at the end of the day and all repairs are done to your satisfaction.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good thoughts about Toby. It's certainly been a process, but we're getting though it. He seems to be tolerating the Lysodren. I'm really sorry your Dakota didn't. It's hard to go through all this only to lose them in the end.
OMC this is awful! We hope they hurry up and CLEAN UP. We're purring you are tradesman free by next week.
ReplyDeleteMis friend´s Huskys!!!
ReplyDeleteOh you poor thing, you are having a week, aren't you. Hugs from the other coast - hopefully this will be behind you in no time!
ReplyDeleteJust hang in there guys. The renovations will be finished soon.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Homer
awwww, ya'll, i'm really sorry the roof stuff is so crazy go nuts! pretty please feel the betterment soon. i'll totally come woof at those workers to be nicer to your house if you want, okie dokie? that's just not cool.
ReplyDelete*woof*
the booker man
Oh, wowwww, what a mess! You guys must be going crazy! We are having a deck put up around our pool (small potatoes compared to your roofing job) but it has been sitting for over a week waiting for the guy...so we have an idea of imagine how Phantom, Ciara & Thunder must missing running...which all equals indoor zoomies! My five are all blowing their coats, so tumbleweeds of fur everywhere! Your babies' coats look so beautiful! Good luck with roof job, hang in their beautiful Sibes, it's got to be over soon....???
ReplyDeleteOMG! That's horrible!! I mean, when the strange men came and attacked our roof like squirrels it looked nothing like that! Wow! I think I'd learn some "new words" from mom!!
