My Thursday Progress Report

Remember this cute little girl?

That's Dakota when she was just a baby trying to take herself for a walk. Well, you know that Princess Dakota was Dad's special girl and he has always wanted another pretty white girl. But it doesn't seem like that will be happening here any time soon. So I thought it would be really nice if somehow I could find Dad a white stuffie sibe.

After all, we have this gigantic stuffed sibe - you would think that somewhere I could find Dad a white one, even a little tiny one.

We even have one of these guys here that looks a bit like me.

And some days he gets to spend a lot of time with these other cute stuffies.

While I was doing my research, I found this basket of furries. But nowhere could I find a white sibe one.

And so, that is how my big project started. We have seen lots of wheelies that our airedale and wirehaired fox terrier furiends have. I should be able to find a white sibe wheelie, right? But I searched and searched the Internets and couldn't find one. I knew that I would just have to figure out how to find one or, if it were the only way, to create one by myself.

So it is back to the blueprints for me. I am thinking that maybe I can use that puppy pic of Dakota at the beginning of this post to help me. And maybe I can get a little more help from our good friend Ann of Zoolatry. One way or another, I am determined to find that white stuffie for Dad, even if I have to use magic.

Woos ~ Thunder

Pee Ess, if you are reading this post through Google Reader or a similar Reader, you might want to actually open our blog for the next few days so you can get the full benefit of my project.

  3. Hmm, just and idea, but there are any number of people who make "felted" dog sculptures. I wonder if one would help you out with an "original" white sibe.

    just a thought.

    good luck

pssst...you might check with Maggie and Mitch and their mom.

  4. that could be a difficult task - to find a white stuffie husky. Mom did see some life sized ones that looked just like Phantom at a local pet store last weekend - she told dad that they reminded her of you guys. Maybe if we all join in the search we can help you.

Mom also wondered if phantom has tried the duck with glucocamine and chondrointin from Petco - it's called "happy hips" made by dogswell and is perfect for 'mature' doggies.

  5. Just another thought - have you thought of asking Ludo's Mom to make a mini Dakota? She made a mini Reilly using my own fur and it is pawsome and has pride of place on the cupboard.

  14. Wyatt gave me such a good idea! Why don't you take that smallest white poler bear in the basket, and some of the white floof. Form some longer, pointy ears out of the floof for the bear, and then a long floofy white tail. You could glue or sew those on. Presto! A white Sibe! I bet you can't wait to start this,Thunder, am I right?

    Kisses again,
