Thanks and Yikes

Thunder Dunder here . . . .

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for the wonderful birthday wishes.  It feels great to be SIX!  Mom still can't believe it has already been that many years.  I arrived at The OP Pack two days before Mom found out that our human sister was going to have twins.  Mom already took care of the older sister to the twins. She says she never would have gotten a puppy if she had any clue that four months later, she would have three grandbipeds to care for every day and three months after that our other human sister would add a fourth grandbiped to Mom's daily daycare.  Yes, Mom cared for three infants and a three year old all at the same time.  And I am proud to say that I was never a problem for her (well, almost never).  I must have done something right or she wouldn't have added Ciara and Lightning after me.  BUT after the latest addition, she does say there will be no more puppies.  We'll see about that.

Speaking of the little pest, he and I were out for a walk today.  We made quite the BIG discovery.

Well, what is THAT?

You stay back, Lightning, while I check things out.

Let me at it!!!  I think I saw it first.

BIG!  HUGE!  GIGANTIC!  And very DEAD!!!

Please, Mom, can't I bring it home?

Mom isn't very good at identifying snakes, but she says it is the biggest one she has seen around here.  And no, Lightning did not get to bring it home.

Did someone say "cheese"?  All of us here to wish you a good week.

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  17. Yucky snake! My assistant would have jumped 10 feet! Love Phantom's smile in that last picture.

Oh and by the way, my assistant did have some trouble getting me down from that swing-set! I got a little nervous and backed in the corner. She was calling for my papa, but he was in the basement and didn't hear her. Somehow, she managed to grab me (I let her) and carefully make her down the ladder carrying me. I'm thinking I'll leave climbing to the kids!

  19. Wowserz! That IS very big. The snakes we usually find in our backyard aren't quite that big, but they are big enough to scare mommy into keeping Nala and me away from them. I wonder what killed it? Hmmm

    Happy Monday! :)

    Woofs & hugs, <3

  23. Happy Belated Birthday Thunder. Boy, your mom really had her hands full! I bet you were a great big help for her, right? ;)

So they didn't get to bring the dead snake home, but did you at least let them roll in it?? BOL!

  24. Thunder, we're glad you had a good birthday! The Momster had her paws full for awhile with those little bipeds plus you! As for the snake, our mommy wouldn't have stuck around long enough to find out if it was dead or not. If she had seen it should would have been in Nebraska in 33.6 seconds!

  38. Ok, your mom must be a dog/baby whisperer. We are in awe of her skills.

I find awesome dead things on our walks too and as soon as anyone notices they say, "DROP IT!"

It's so rude for them to say that but I do it because that's what I do...obey.

  42. Mom doesn't understand why we're so fascinated with snakes. She yells when she sees one and makes Dad get rid of it. We think they look like lots of fun. We'd like to play tug with one, but it isn't allowed.

  45. Hi, So very glad that the snake was dead. I am one human that doesn't mind them, unless they are poisonous but still that guy was pretty big.
Glad you and our brudders are having fun. We get a new puppy this coming Friday-I can't wait, but he is 4 mos old so hopefully some of the crying of an 8 wk old will be gone.
    Have a great evening.
