The Woos on Wednesday - Phantom's Woe

Well, here is something new at the home of The Woos.

What is happening here?

Ciara:  Whatever do you mean?  I am just taking a nap.

Lightning:  Why ever would you CHOOSE to go in the crate?  I am rejoicing over finally being free from confinement in my crate overnight.

Phantom:  Ummmm, excuse me, Miss Prissy Sissy, but that is MY crate!

Phantom:  What is a poor old guy of 13 1/2 to do?  No pup, even bossy Dakota, has EVER gone in my crate.

Note from the Momster:  We have two crates and two beds in the kitchen, and Lightning's crate in the laundry room just off the kitchen.  Phantom is right, no one has ever slept in his crate before until just recently. For some reason Ciara has taken up camp in there several times.  Poor Phantom is such a good boy, he just stands there and stares at her as if to say, can you please get out?

  1. OH NO! Phantom needs to occupy his crate I guess.

As for me, I LOVE my crate. I go in sometimes to take a snooze as well.

  2. Phantom, I know just how you feel. ~Socks

We are wondering if Ciara feels OK since this isn't normal behavior on her part, or maybe she is scared of something and feels safe there.

  3. Oh dear Ciara, I bet Phantom has the best crate in the world and that's why you like it so much.

May be you can talk to your big brother and borrow it when it's free as it actually is his though.

  4. Ciara, you really ARE a pest! How could you?!?

  5. A crate is a dogs castle. It that how the saying goes? Maybe she is just pre-warming it up for you.

  6. Wow, that's really funny! Maybe it's that old "the grass is always greener" thing. Maybe it's like staying at a hotel. I don't know, but it's entertaining! BOL

  9. Poor Phantom! You're such a good boy and your little Prissy Sissy is taking your crate. Maybe she's trying to get away from a certain little brofur. Hope she finds another place to camp!

  10. Don't worry, Phantom! My sissy Cinderella sometimes naps in my crate too, but I don't mind. She gets the bed all nice and warm for me.

  11. Poor guy - maybe posting a "No Trespassing" sign might help?

  12. Wells dis is shockin' news! I knows hows Phantom LOVES his crate. I don't think I would be brave enoughs to go in theres.

  13. Maybe Ciarra is feeling a little stressed lately and has decided that Phantoms safe spot can be her safe spot too. Think you had better make a crate condo for the two of them - side by side.

  14. Other peoples beds are worth giving a try or are you checking which one is more comfy?

  16. Ciara must of just realized what she is missing out on!

  17. How interesting. We have something like that here: Jakey never goes into what is nominally "his crate," but Just Harry has decided it is the perfect spot for an occasional retreat. It's right next to his own dining crate, so basically he has a duplex at his disposal!

    If only they could explain!!!

  19. hey Phantom,

Lil' sisfurs can be so bothersome! You are an Alpha Male but are too kind for your own good. Hopefully Ciara will get the message and leave your crate when you are ready to use it. I think she just loves her big brofur so much that she wants to emulate you. :->

    Good luck, Phantom! Be strong!

  29. Phantom, just give her the Heave-Ho and find a way to keep her out.
I think your Mom, the CEO of your Pack should really do this . Your Mom found a way to keep the Pest out of her flowers, she should be able to do something for YOU!

    Kisses,
    Stella

  30. We have that very same problem going on right now here!!! Chloe is the only one who has a crate as when I adopted LadyBug, they told me they did not want me to crate her...Chloe has always had her crate from when she was just a teeny, tiny pup. She has one here and one at the cottage. Now, out of the blue, LadyBug has decided to take up residence in Chloe's crate! Chloe does the same thing...she just stands at the door staring at her as if to say ummmm...you DO know you are in MY crate, right?? What's up with that?? Weird...

  31. I wonder if something has changed and Prissy Sissy feels she needs the shelter???

  32. Oh sweet Phantom. Something tells me that the momster will solve this problem for you. You deserve to sleep in your very own condo in peace!

  38. Don't just stand there at stare at us to do something about Ciara, bribe her to leave. Get a piece of steak from the fridge and tie a rope on it. Put it near your crate and once you get her attention, slowly pull the rope so she leaves the crate. Then go inside and lock yourself in. That way, Ciara doesn't enter again... Oh wait, that means you can't get out either.

    Oops, my bad.

  42. Sky likes to nap in his sister's crate whenever she's out and about. I think he likes his privacy. If the crates are in use or locked he stretches out on the sofa or the windowseat. He's an expert napper.
