Magical Monday

These two boys are enjoying a few last moments of  peace and quiet before . . .

Before what?     Before the pests return!

Thunder is really enjoying the cool breeze from the magic box in the floor while Phantom is conjuring up his imaginary pupmate - see him there in the window, look closely.   Not to mention the magical moments of peace and quiet.

And why is it so quiet?  Where are those other two?

Well, Mom and Dad were supposed to go away for a few days to a big national dance competition in Branson, MO for the two girl grandbipeds.  And the four of us were supposed to go to the vet's kennel for a few days.  So what happened?  Our Dad hurt his back.  Although he is going to be just fine (we hope), there is no way he could have managed the four hour drive to Branson and all the sitting at the competition. So Mom convinced him to stay home while she went by herself and met up with the rest of the family.  We two, Phantom and Thunder, got super lucky because Mom let us stay home to take care of Dad.  The two Pests, Ciara and Lightning, (OK, so Ciara isn't so much of a pest any more) had to go to the kennel.  We think it worked out really well.  Dad is a real pushover for food - shhh, don't tell Mom.  And Phantom was very happy to be able to stay in his comfy quarters.  Last year when the humans went away, he didn't eat anything for three days.  So although we wish Dad didn't hurt his back, we sure had a fun long weekend AND we didn't have to spend time with the groomer like Ciara and Lightning.

Meanwhile, these three had fun in Branson when the girls weren't dancing.  Here they are being silly with Yakov at Yakov's dinner theater.  The girls danced their hearts out and won three first place trophies and each of them qualified for the national shootout.  Their dance school walked away with lots and lots of trophies.

Don't forget, tomorrow is International Box Day - you can get all the details HERE or HERE.  Hope you can participate.

Woos, Phantom and Thunder

Pee Ess:  With our assistant away, we weren't able to comment on a lot of posts, but we did get to read most of them.  Hope everyone had a good weekend and a Happy Father's Day.

We've done that before with my Dad - we've kenneled the overhappy dogs and left him with the mature sensible ones. My Dad would have been overwhelmed otherwise!
