Gray and White (and blue) Sunday

Why Gray and White?  Because today is all about ME, Thunder, the gray and white one here.

Hey, how did they all get in here too?  Oh yes, the point of my post.

Some of you were concerned about the bandage you saw on my leg in this pic the other day.

So you might be thinking the "blue" part of this post is my baby blues.

Well, yes, they are very blue, aren't they?

Oops,  I am getting sidetracked again.  I have been licking my front paw a lot lately and made a sore.  Mom took me to the V.E.T. who said the boo boo was infected. So he wrapped my paw to stop me from licking, gave me a steroid shot, and put me on antibiotics.  I was supposed to wear this bandage for no more than three days IF it even lasted that long.

I was a very good boy and left the bandage alone.  But yesterday was long enough for me.  When Mom got up at 3:30 this morning because Phantom was calling her, she found this.

Now I am NOT saying I took the bandage off, but somehow it ended up on the floor.

Somehow the boo boo got all pink and raw again.

And now for the "blue" part of my post, LOOK:

Mom, how can you do this to me?

Woos, Blue Thunder

  2. I hear you Thunder - when you got an itch you just have to lick or scratch at it....the Mom's do get paranoid about it though....thankfully my Mom has not resorted to the cone of shame - yet!

  3. Oh oh.. at least you didn 't eat or hide the bandage like Tsar used to do. You need to let that sore spot get better so it stops itching. That sad face will probably get you some special treats today.

    So sorry, Thunder :(
I can feel your pain, as I have something very similar on my front paw. I have to have drops on it and then some sticky, anti-lick goop that smells like pickles - weird, huh? Everyone in my family has been calling me ... "pickle foot" - sigh. Hope both of our problems end soon, buddy!

  25. Oh no Thunder...it must be the time of year something in the air. Last week Mom and Dad visited their friends for two days. Their Corgi, Yogi,(we have a pic of Yogi on next Friday's post) had just finished meds for the same thing about a week before their visit and lo and behold he was licking his right front paw again. FYI you are still MOST handsome even in the cone of shame.

  36. Oh Thunder! How very awful but those spots can get nasty VERY quickly. We have been having the same kind of itchy, leg-licking time here at White Dog Ranch both Nuka and Oso are driving momma to distraction with their licking. Swabbing the area down with vinegar seems to stop the interest in licking at least temporarily. Maybe your momster could try that.

  37. Noooo...!!!Not the kholllar!!!
Oh but mommy says you look soo cute in it!!

  43. hey Thunder,

Wow. The cone of shame. I never thought I would see you in one of those. Doesn't your mom know that the ghost of Halloween pulled of your bandage while you were sleeping? I assume that is why Phantom was calling your mom (if not, I hope Phantom is o.k.). And with the bandage off of course you had to lick your wound! You had to keep it clean!

Sorry Thunder. Paws crossed your wound heals very quickly and that cone comes off your pretty head.
