Monday Mischief

Mischievous Mother Nature was at work this morning here in OP.  Look what she did!

What's going on here - snow on the deck but none on the grass????  It's not nice to fool us, Mother Nature.

On a more serious note, we would like to take a moment to ask our friends to keep all the families hurt by the senseless shootings in our city of Overland Park yesterday.  The events of the day have really shaken up the area - this is NOT the norm for OP.  Mom and Dad were only about 1/2 mile away from the first shootings at the Jewish Community Center.  They were at the OP Convention Center for a dance competition for our girl grandbipeds.  And our home is only a few miles from the second shooting at the Village Shalom Living Center.  Our prayers and good thoughts go out to the families of those who lost their loved ones: a grandfather and his grandson.  And a daughter visiting her mom at the retirement community.  So tragic, so hard to understand.

Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning and Mom too

  10. Hi Guys.
How can normal people ever understand what hatred can be in some peoples minds.
Our thoughts go out to all who are involved.
How can anyone just shoot into a group of people and not care.

  11. So sorry that you all were too close for comfort to those shootings! I am glad you all are safe though. Did you hear about the Oso landslide in Washington State? Thats my "too close for comfort" site. That's a few miles away, within my county. Pretty scary.

  19. Surprisingly, we haven't heard about that. Usually, our news picks up on that. Can't believe how people think violence solves anything...or hate. Very scary for you, especially when it's so close to home.

All those poor people affected. We'll pray for them.

Wishing everyone strength and extra love to mend and heal their hearts. So sorry about this horrible violence. The school stabbing in PA last week was about 2 1/2 hours from my territory. Very sad.

As for your surprise snow! Please don't send it here - we're just getting used to SPRING (although snow showers are in our forecast for tonight! BOO!)

My mom works at College and Nall so even though she wasn't at work the whole thing hit close to home for her too. Senseless and tragic.

  39. I tend to try not to focus too much on these senseless acts of violence so I had no idea it was so close to you. I'm so very very sorry but I am grateful that you and your family are safe.

On a lighter note, at least Mother Nature didn't dump a foot of snow on you!
