Trapped on Thankless Thursday

Lightning here to tell you all about how thankless the humans here can be.

Let me start at the beginning.  If this were Monday, I would have named this post Mole-full Monday.  But since it is not, Trapped on Thankless Thursday will have to do.

This silly gate with the bizarre contraption at the top AND. . .

this door with its deadbolt lock . . .  are all that is separating me and my team from getting at THESE:

See that yellow thing in the ground by the yellow flag there on our FRONT lawn?  There are FIVE of them out there.

That is what the Momster says is a giant mouse TRAP!!!  But it isn't for mice at all - it is for those destructive critters called MOLES!!!  You see our front lawn, which is NOT part of our fenced-in kingdom in the BACK yard has been invaded by bug and worm eating monsters who make tunnels all through the lawn and landscape beds.  AND they do it at LIGHTNING speed (BOL).

Now we all know how skilled some of The OP Pack can be when it comes to rabbits.  So I have been trying to convince Mom that she needs to open that gate and the door to let The OP Pack De-MOLE-ition team out there so they can take care of the moles at our own LIGHTNING speed.  And what does she say????  The front yard is a no-sibe zone because it is not safe for us to be out there without a fence or our leashes.  Sheesh - talk about being THANKLESS!!!

Phantom is the team manager - you know, the one who does all the ordering around and no work!

My sidekick Ciara and I have the best paws in town to get the job done.  Between our super sniffers and dangerous diggers, we will have those critters disappearing before you can blink twice.

So what do you think out there?  Should we trust those yellow traps or let the De-MOLE-tion Team at 'em?

Mom says look at this:

Hmmm, one of the traps may have been activated:)

Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

  1. omd OMD...
We love to Gwalk a Moley. We are so sorry that your mom would NOT allow you the pleasure of Diggin up a few moles...
Did you know that PIN WHEELS put around your area... will drive Moles... and worms .. away?
We prefer the Digging Dachshund method though.

  2. We had a mole problem here, for about 2 days and our feral cats took care of it!

  3. Well, we have to agree with Mom on this issue. We don't want you all to go wandering off if there isn't any fence etc. I bet those traps will do the trick or better yet a nice cat but you all would probably love to chase a cat too. Happy Thursday to you.

  5. The Momster has THE MOST efficient deMOLE-ition team there AND she's NOT using it.

When there's work to be done what Sibe is going to be running down the street.....sheesh!

That's an under use of resources in our opinion!

  6. A no sibe zone right at your own house! Dead bolts, jail, locks! The only mole I have ever seen is on my face

  8. De-MOLE-ition that is just too funny! I think you all need to get down to business and go get those moles, you would do a much more effective job than any of those yellow thingies! Mommas are crazy sometimes! I would love to come and help you rid yourself of moles and I'm small so I could get down the holes! Love and Licks from your Woo Furiend Frank XxxxxxxxX

  10. we think the De-MOLE-ition team could do a much better job than those yellow trappy things - Mom could always let you our on a long leash

  11. Holy Moley, we had those nasty critters too. Mommy got to see one in the trap and she was all screaming at Daddy. She thinks they are creepy. I bet you guys could have them taken care of in no time at all! I don't know how the yard would be, but the moles would be gone and that is the main thing. I am sorry you have to be in a prison right now, but it looks like a pretty good prison.

  12. better leave the mole catching up to the yellow tarp thing. We would't want you to get your foot caught in ine.

Hope they find another place besides your yard to dig.

  21. I can't believe she wouldn't let you take care of the mole problem! What could possibly go wrong?

  22. We agree with the Cowspotdogs. Your Mom could take you out on a long leash and you could take care of those moles. Then you could teleport over to our house and take care of the gophers.

  23. If the de-MOLE-ition team occupied the front yard, the moles would be gone with Lightning speed, I'm sure of it! Tell your mom that she needs to fence the front yard so you can get to work :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. That's it...have her fence in that front yard and let you guys GET THEM!!!

  25. OMD we read your comment about the moles and we so wanted to fly out and join you in a mole hunt of your yard. Drats mum should let you do a bit of digging and get at them. There'd be no stopping me. Off now to chase squirrels. Have a fabulous Friday.
    Best wishes Molly

  27. Can I join your deMOL-ition team? I'm a great mole hunter, your mom will be surprised how I can deMOLish your garden. you will get a giant hole what you can use as a swimming pool and we all can have a big mole-bbq at then end.

  30. Your parents are crazy! Why do they needs traps when they have you? I'm sure you could have the moles dug up in no time and enjoy a tasty treat when you are finished. Humans are so inefficient.

PS. I know what you mean about me hanging out with Wilbur. I just do it to make Mom and Dad happy. It's so difficult to be his sister!

  33. Wowser! Sure hope you catch lots of them and they don't bug you anymore. :)

  34. Us arctic dogs are some of the best mole hunters around. No wonder the moles all moved to the front yard. But can't she put you on a leash and let you catch one? After all, it just involves some digging..... and, well, you know the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think I would weigh the cost of the green papers for the mole man vs. the fence man and turn that into a SIBE free range zone and thus a mole free zone ...yes, at LIGHTNING speed!
