Rolling Along on Thankful Thursday

Phantom here to share some of my excitement today.  It doesn't take too much to get an old guy like me excited:)

Mom said we had to hurry up and get in the car and roll along so we could hurry up and roll along and get back home.  See if you can find any logic in that thought:)

Mom and I rolled along off to the V.E.T. to get my weekly Adequan injection - and of course, to get a few treats on the way out of the building.  As you can see, I am pretty happy about that part of my rolling along trip.

Now for the why we had to hurry up and go and then hurry up and get back home part.  Our neighborhood streets were scheduled to day for the ridiculous "chip and seal" paving they do to our roads.  Mom and Dad think it is a waste of money because it never lasts very long and leaves lots of pebbles on the roadways.  We had to hurry up and roll along and get home so we could park the sibemobile back in the garage before all the trucks and tar and pebbles and stuff got rolling along on our street.

I am the only one of us sibes who gets to go near the front door when it is open, something about young pups wanting to get at the squirrels and rabbits so fast that they might bolt right through the screen door.  Not me, here I am checking out the work.  The tar and pebbles have all been spread and it is time for the rollers to do their part.

Hey, Mom, I think those guys might need some supervision out there.  I think I would do a great job as a supervisor - how about rolling along over here and opening this screen door?

What do you mean?  I am not quite THAT trustworthy????  You think I might run off???

Now why would I ever want to do THAT???

You know I love my home and I am ever so thankful for my loving family:)  OK, I will just supervise from here as long as you give me some turkey liver treats.

Woos - Phantom

Note from Momster: Phantom's tail is "hanging" in there - the bitter orange seems to keep him from licking the area.  He only has to wear the inflatable ring overnight.  YAY!!!

  1. Yea Phantom! Please don't lick the tail, we want it to heal and then you won't have to bother with that collar. Mom's dog Libby did jump thru a screen door twice, so now we're not allowed to watch either.

  3. you know one thing our Mom hates the smell of is tar.....erk - road works that close would have her leaving home in hurry and not coming back until it was all done. We are sure you did the most excellent job dogervising Mr Blue Eyes :)

  6. Good to hear that the neck thingy isn't an all-the-time accessory.

We would love to get out our gate to look for cats. We do occasionally, but SHE yells 'do you want some cheese?' And we can't resist, we have to come back.

We think you're brave going to the VET's so often.

  24. it's better to snoopervise that streetguys from a distance. I did that too (our street ist damaged again and it's not even one year old, it's a waste of money I agree) once one of that street guys even lost his pants while working with a jackhammer. what a moon, I nearly started to howl on it! I'm glad the bitter orange works and you are only at night the lord of the ring.

  27. Way to go Phantom...keep that licky tongue away from your tail.

  28. Phantom I do love your expression so. I agree with your mum and dad that when they do the chipping to the roads its a waste of time. They do that here and it lasts a day and causes chips to car paintwork and needs doing again very quickly. Glad you are doing ok though. Hugs to you Phantom x
