It's been on the chilly side here for about a week now. Mom would say it is more like frigid. But you know how much we sibes love the cold.
Even the old boy likes to be outside more when the temps dip.
Mom doesn't let Phantom stay outside for very long, but he always manages to move to the farthest point away from the door. Then she has to get her coat on to get him back inside because he can't hear her calling him:( We are all hoping his birthday present gets here soon. We aren't so sure he is going to be thrilled with it, but Mom says he is going to need it this year. We will show you once it gets here.
But have no fear, he is never out alone. He always has a buddy or two - here he has the feeling somePup is watching him:)
Once back on the deck, he is trying to remind Mom about his request for steak for his big day this week. He sure knows how to use those eyes on her.
Steak? Did someone say steak? We want in on this too.
I'll even help clean up this NEW batch of leaves of there is steak involved:)
And now for a quick Ciara update - all is going pretty well. No new nasty visits from the evil monster. The meds do make her sleepy AND very hungry. But we can deal with THAT!!! The cold weather has brought on the zoomies outside here, and she overdid it over the weekend. She has had a bit of a gimpy back leg. Nothing too bad, but definitely worth watching.
Hey, I am doing just fine, now hand over the treats, please:)
Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
I hope you have fun in the cold weather and I also hope that steak comes soon!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what his birthday goodies are. We are sure it will be something PAWSOME!
ReplyDeleteSOOOO happy to hear no more visits for Ciara.

ReplyDeleteSteak sounds like a lovely idea !
Loves and licky kisses

You 3 Woos delight me every time I come to visit. Phantom my friend..you look rather spry out in the cool sunshine.
ReplyDeleteMom has to ask...how many times a day does your mom clean the windows...we know there must be nose smudges be we don't see them.
Hugs madi your bfff
Love seeing all these beautiful faces! Have fun in the cold!
ReplyDeleteWe think Mr Phantom should have what ever he wants for his birthday - it is huge milestone for him and we are sure that coat (we think that is what he is getting) is going to help keep him warm
ReplyDeleteWe are still trying to figure out how you manage to get treats out of picture taking. The Mom seems to be a bit dense. Glad to hear everyone is doing pretty well. Healing purrs and <3
ReplyDeleteHow about we send some of our snow to you for Phantoms birthday! you can have it all. Glad to hear that Ciara is doing well
ReplyDeletehugs

It is frigid here too, however it got up to 33 today so we were able to go on a 2 mile walk in the neighborhood. Good news for your girl. I know you Sibes love being outside when it's cold-so enjoy.

I know you are living all that chilliness. Can't wait to see what's in the mail
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
Oh Ciara, we are sooooooooo glad you are doing a little better.
ReplyDeletePhantom, the Mom here knows just how your Mom feels, our doggie can't hear well either and so the Mom has to show Ande where she is.
Can't wait to see your new present. Ligtning, you are looking mighty good. Thanks for looking after Phantom.
Glad all is going well.....we had three days of below freezer temps, we were stuck inside, it made Susie Brain dead for a whole day!
ReplyDeleteBites
I'm so glad about Ciara! My meds to prevent migraines make me sleepy too so I can relate!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Phantom is enjoying the winter temps. My trainer mentioned to me the other day that someone has invented a remote vibrating collar for getting the attention of deaf dogs. I had the same issue with our yellow lab, S, who went deaf late in life. I would've loved a vibrating collar to get him to look at me. (you train them by vibrating the collar and then giving a treat. Repeat many times, and you'll have a dog who looks for you when their collar vibrates.)
I sure hope that your sweet boy gets a steak for his birthday. My dogs say that they should get a steak for Phantom's birthday too :)
Thats good news for Ciara,, that she is doing so well!
ReplyDeleteAnd even for Phantom to want to go outside in the cold. I hope he gets a steak too.
love

Well, if you can't have snow, chilly is the next best thing. Makes you just want to zoom around!
ReplyDeleteWe think Steak all around for the big celebration is in order.
Good news about Ciara....paws still crossed.

Hi Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning,
ReplyDeleteIt is so very nice to see Phantom outside enjoying the cold weather, its really cold here and I'm looking forward to having some snows on my furs! I really am looking forward to seeing what Phantoms secret Birthday present is and if you Woos get some steak! Yummers! I'm really glad to hear that Ciara is feeling better and also enjoying her time outside! I also know that Lightning is enjoying himself, you Woos sure do know how to make the most of your time outside in the cold weathers! It is amazing to see you all having so much fun!
Love, Licks and Hugs from your honorary Woo furiend Frank xxxxxxxx
Steak? Did you say steak? What time's dinner??
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Ciara is doing so much better! Paws crossed. And Phantom is looking good and enjoying life.
That nice soft bed isn't such a bad deal is it?! Tee Hee...you do look comfy and it cushions the old bones nicely. I may break down and use my bed one of these days too.....SO happy to hear Ciara hasn't been visited by the seizure-monster again. That's GOOD news!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
who said Steaks? I'm glad you enjoy all that snow flakes and the cold... can I send our snow to you... just in case we will get some this year...
ReplyDeleteWe hope Ciara continues to be well. Joey dog doesn't hear very well either, but that's kind of a common thing that happens when cocker spaniels get older. It doesn't bother him a bit, but sometimes Mom and Dad have to go out to him and let him know it's time to come in.
ReplyDeleteWell... I'm not a doctor, but I DO think more treats are in order! :) Glad there have been no more seizures --- and isn't it GREAT out there?!!?
ReplyDeleteCammie!
How can one dog (no matter his age) be so handsome?
ReplyDeleteAnd cheering for Ciara and the Momster for coping with everything!
hope Phantom gets his steak, that sounds yummy!
