April Showers bring May flowers???

It's another rainy day here in OP, but we thought it was just perfect to introduce our new blog look from our good friend Ann from Zoolatry.  We have adorned our blog with some seed packets of Siberian flowers.  Didn't Ms. Ann do a beautiful job?  Our garden is sure to do well with our three Angels keeping watch.

Mom is actually getting a little teensy weensy itsy bitsy optimistic about her garden chances this year.  In the background here you can see she planted six perennials to fill the gaps in the landscape bed. We lost a few shrubs this past winter, and she thought the perennials would be a nice addition while she and Dad decide what to get for new shrubs.  Why is she optimistic????  Because the perennials have been in there for a week, and no sibes have touched them:)

Surely she isn't talking about ME?????

Hey, while we are out here, let's show you some of our yard pals.  Over on this side . . .

. . .we have Cash, the boxer puppy we told you about last fall.  He has an older boxer sister, Layla, but she isn't out just now.  Very appropriate boxer names:)  They are on invisible fence, although Layla doesn't abide by the rules of that fence at all.

Let's not forget about our new neighbors on the other side.

Dodger and Oliver!!!  They watch all the time to see if we are looking out at them from our windows.  They also have two kitties who were supposed to be indoor kitties.  Last week one of them decided she needed to be an outside kitty.  She came visiting our kingdom and totally surprised one Sibe who has never been nose to nose with a kitty.  That Sibe chased the invader right up and over the fence and all the way UP very high in a tree!!!

You wouldn't be talking about ME now, would you???  Would I do a thing like THAT???

And one more set of buddies - these two handsome labs!!!  We know the one at the fence is Memphis, but we don't know the other one's name. The two of them can really sing a mighty song when the fire engines go by:)

My leg is doing a lot better today -still a little bit gimpy and stiff, but definitely improving!!!  Mom even let me walk in the yard without my leash attached.  The grass is really soft and comfy.

We hope you enjoyed sharing time in our yard and meeting some of our pals.  Mom said our grass really IS this green and plush right now.  But once the summer heat of Kansas hits, it just won't be the same.

Happy Saturday to all!!!

Woos - Ciara and Lightning

  1. Mom, those angels are sure taking their shifts too seriously. The intruder sibes don't stand a chance at getting close to those perennials. They must have put up like "Sibe Forcefield" or something...

Those are some nice neighbor friends you have. We have a German Shepherd next door and he was running loose and attacked me when I was still little and now I don't really care for him anymore. At all.
We love those "perennial" Siberian flowers! :) Beautiful blog design!

  13. We love your new blog header and background. Ann is so creative and her work is always so lovely.

Thanks for introducing us to your friends. Fen chases the cats if they come in his backyard. Usually they get in the jungle gym although Socks sometimes goes over the fence.

  14. Hi Woos! It sure is nice to have such friendly neighbours, they all look like fun furry folks, have you ever met any of them when your out walking?? I don't have any doggies next to me any more, I used to have dogs each side of me and one even used to hop the fence and play in my garden with me but he moved out last summer! I'm so glad to hear that you are being good and not getting into those flowers, I'm also really glad to hear that Ciara is getting better, still sending some potp your way, love and Licks from your furiend Frank XxxxxxxxX

  24. It is SO green there!!! I knew that you must be feeling a little better, Ciara, because you were in the yard without a leash. I'm glad for that.

I read that you went back in your crate. I'll be interested to hear if you keep going in it (K never went back after her older brother's death).

Last but not least, you two amigos need to leave your mom's perennials alone!!! You've done a great job so far :) We love you both for taking such good care of your mom and of each other.

  31. OMD, Loki and Juno (and I) are on the way over! We want to Zoomies that beautiful garden. Loki and Juno says Lightening was quite correct in escorting the interloper out of the garden! I mean, the only ones to be diggin up monsters perennials should be woo too, are they right? your new look is beautiful. Still hard to believe phantom and thunder are angels...sigh.
Glad miss puppy pants is on the mend!

  32. Your new blog layout is beautiful, and how lucky you Woos are to have so many furpals around. Funny you say the Labs can sing a mighty song when the fire engines go by, I thought you Sibes were the singers! In fact, don't you have singing every night in your area with so many participants in a woofie choir? I find even 2 dogs in neighbouring houses can set each other off.

  33. We miss Mr. Blue Eyes too.....you all have lots of other company around to keep you interested though with all the neighbors' pups! Your lawn looks AMAZING..........we WISH ours looked like that but it doesn't and wont' and that's that!!!!
