Ciara kept trying to tell us for the past two days that those nasty storms were headed our way.
AND she was right, but fortunately for us, they developed a mere 19 miles from our home. Lee's Summit, MO had some pretty nasty stuff touch down. Lee's Summit is located just on the other side of the Kansas/Missouri state line from where we live. We are very thankful we dodged that bullet again, but we are sorry that a lot of people weren't so lucky. Lots of damage to businesses and vehicles and power outages too, but thankfully no serious injuries. Ciara has her paws crossed the cleanup goes well and those storms just dissipate with no more damage.
We did an early morning survey of the Siberian kingdom to be sure all was still in order. We have a great view from the top of the deck stairs.
Things are looking just fine - except for that pesky cute little bunny who keeps invading visiting our territory.
Guess it is time for us to move back inside to see if we can con Mom into have some turkey jerky to celebrate our thankfulness.
Woos - Ciara and Lightning
Happy Thursday to my Woos!! Ciara I love your crossed paw!! We hope the clean goes well too. Pesky rabbits OMWs tell me about it we have a gazillion in our yard. Mom got the cutest photo of one reclining at the edge of our deck! MOL MOL Mom likes the idea of the brick on the planters...makes them kinda Woo proof

ReplyDeleteThe thunder started at midnight and lasted till 7 this morning. As you can guess I didn't get much sleep. Now it's hot and muggy outside and I think I just heard thunder in the distance. Glad you're all safe.

So Ciara has taken over from Phantom as the storm advisor? He must have taught her everything. Glad the storm missed you. Enjoy the airconditioning and hopefully, turkey jerky.
ReplyDeleteMaybe dogs are like migraine patients. They, too, can predict storms ahead of time.
