Monday Mischief?

Why is it that whenever a post has the word "mischief" in it, there I, Lightning, appear???

Well, today I think it is Mom who is up to some mischief even IF she says I am the one who causes all the mischief.

I wonder what these things are for and what they have to do with somePup getting into mischief.  I have to add here that normally when I see these flags posted on the streets where we walk, they freak me out.  But they seem pretty harmless right now.

Mom says there are ONLY eight of these yellow flags left.  Hmmmm, I wonder what she did with the other 16???

Oh, here is one of them outside.  What could it be for?

I found another one by the fence.

What was that, Mom?  I am not supposed to pull them out and chew them?

What about this one I found in the middle of the lawn?

Well, enough of that - there ARE indeed 16 of those flags scattered through MY yard.  Mom says there will be some reseeding done here tomorrow to try to "fix" all the bare spots that somePupS caused.  The flags mark the sprinkler heads.  If I decide to pull them up, then the men won't be able to do their job properly.

So THAT'S what all the talk about mischief is.  Well, I will try, but I can't make any promises - you never know when I might have to take care of removing those intruding flags from MY yard.  Mom says I need to try really hard for the next 24 hours to tolerate them:)

In other news, Mom tricked me into taking a ride in the car.  I think SHE was the mischievous one. She carted me off to the V.E.T.  for my annual exam.  I got all my vaccinations up to date, got some nice hugs from the vet tech, and visited with Dr. B. - you know, that nice man who took such good care of Angel Phantom.  He was very nice to me and told Mom he really has missed us.  It was our first visit back to our regular vet since Phantom left us almost six months - he even told Mom he was very surprised she hasn't showed up with a new sibling for us:)  I really like Dr. B. even if he said I was a very healthy goofball!

Ciara wants you all to know that life has settled down again - no new visits from the evil monster.

So I brought her outside with me to show her what Mom had done - Mom told her she has to snoopervise me and make sure I don't mess with those flags.  I told Ciara she will have to come up with a good bribe for me:)

Woos - Lightning (and Ciara)

  4. Oh Lightning you are just the best. So so glad to hear that the seizure monster hasn't come to visit you lately. Maybe it is because of storms. Love the flag story. Better leave those flags along Lightning. You all have a great day.

  5. Wait - you're NOT supposed to pull those things up? That explains the "nonomaggieno" I got on our walk the other day when I tried to snag one out of a neighbor's yard. Wow. Very informative, Lightning!

  8. Lightning I am very glad that you are all checked up. You must do whatever is needed to protect your yard, so do what you will with those flags. Ciara, I am so happy that the monster is staying away, but I will cross paws for you to stay away for good.

  10. Lightning, I don't knows what your Moms expects of you!!! If those were in my yardie (and we actually HAD a lawn left :( ) then I would pull them out too! I would run around the yardie with them in my mouth and make Ma try and catch me...not that I ever have DONE that or anythings....hehehehe

  13. We hardly see how the Mom can hold you responsible seeing as how you were just trying to help. Being adorable cancels out most wrongdoings, too!

  14. I think your mom is being unreasonable. If those scary flags are taking over your yard, you have every right to defend the family by removing them!!!!

I'm so glad that you had a good vet visit and that Ciara has had peaceful days.

  15. We wonder how long those little flags will last. There may be some funny business with marauding squirrels if you aren't careful. They just may move them or even take them away. So happy the seizure monster is gone. We hope he stays away.

  16. Those yellow flags would be too tempting for Molly not to uproot too, Lightning! We are keeping our paws crossed that the seizure monster stays away, Ciara.

  22. Well, you could take them out and stick them back in different places. That would confuse everybody and no one would know it was you that did it. Just sayin.....

  23. Just think you only have to leave the flags alone for a day or so...then you can investigate all you want. I'm glad Ciara is feeling better-that is such good news.
    Have a wonderful day!

  25. We're with you Lightening. Why would your mom put those things in your yard if not for you to play with?

  26. We agree that leaving all those little flags alone is quite a tall order, Lightning. Good luck! It's good to hear you are such a healthy boy and we are very happy that the monster is leaving Ciara alone.
