Thankful on Thursday

It sure was a wild day in the Kansas City area yesterday as it was across a lot of the Midwest.  We were fortunate enough to only get some really strong winds.  Almost all the leaves were blown off the trees and may have ended up on the East Coast - we were trying to send them to Chester and Joey at The Daily Bone in New York for their compost pile.  There were a lot of power outages and branches down from all the wind, but for the most part it was all good in our area.

Mom says this is my happy girl face.  I was pretty antsy and anxious since Tuesday night because I knew there was bad weather headed our way.  BUT with all the extra support and crossed paws I got from all my pals - that's YOU - and with my boost in meds, I managed to ward off the evil monster "S".

When Mom saw me sleeping like this earlier this morning, she knew all was well with me again.  She really needed me to hang in there yesterday because the Mom and Dad are headed to the Dallas area to visit our human brother and family for the weekend.  Since we will be at the vet's boarding kennel, she needed that reassurance that I would be OK.  So if you have any extra support to lend me for the weekend, I would be very grateful - and I bet Mom would too:)

It is still pretty windy out there today, but Lightning and I have been enjoying our time out in the yard and lounging on the deck together.  We might not be around for a few days, but we will be back next week.  Have a great weekend.

Woos - Ciara (and Lightning)
