Sleepy Saturday

It is going to be a wet weekend here in OP - a big front moving in.  So here is what we are doing today.

Ciara has been on the quiet side since yesterday.  Once again, we think she is reacting to changes in the barometric pressure.

When she is quiet, Lightning is quiet too.  Since Mom and Dad will be spending a lot of time at a basketball tournament for Twin J, Lightning decided to bring J some good luck by relaxing on his basketball fleece.

Ciara also wants to thank everyone for all the wonderful birthday wishes.  Some have asked about how she is doing.  We are happy to report that she has been doing very well since we added the zonisamide to her meds. It has been about three weeks now with no visits from the evil S.  She is currently taking 6 Keppras a day and 4 zonisamides.  We are hoping to try to cut back on the Keppra in a couple of months.  Mom worries about how much medicine she is taking, but if it works, OK.  And we don't post much about things when she is doing well so we don't jinx things:)

Wishing you all a happy weekend.

  6. We're very glad to hear Ciara is doing well. Don't worry. You won't jinx it. Those are two very good medications she's taking. Works very well for humans too.

  13. It's "wet" here too, but our wet is snow. We had to cancel seeing our nephew in a play in Denver - the driving was just too slippery.

I'm glad to hear the good news about Ciara - I have wondered but didn't want to ask! I am the same way about jinxing things - so I don't talk about "good streaks". But, I have a similar thing. I finally noticed that there was a very strong correlation between how much sleep I got and my migraines (one of those "fitbit" wristbands that measures good sleep made me aware of it). Since I became very disciplined about my sleep about a month ago - no migraines. Now, let's hope that neither of us has jinxed anything. :)

  14. Crikey Ciara and Lightning ..... I've got a bit of catching up to do with you two. Hope your weather improves for you and glad you're doing well Ciara. Thankyou for your kind words. I hope your Dad's eyes are ok. Those eye problems are no good. No good at all!! I know cause I'm a sight hound. I'd be lost without my eyes working proper, aye??

  17. So glad that Ciara is doing better with her meds. It is so difficult when they have to take a lot of medication...but if it is working and controlling the evils...then I guess there is no other choice. Lightning will be fired up pretty soon as Christmas gets closer! And snow! Do you think we will ever get snow?? Last year at this time we had over 20 inches. This year...1.5 inches!! It is so unbelievably warm!!
