The following books were published after his death:
Daisy-Head Mayzie (1994) was written after Ted's death, based on his sketches and notes.
My Many Colored Days (1996) was written by Dr Seuss in 1973, well before he died. For some reason (I haven't been able to find out why) it was only published for the first time after his death.
Hooray For Diffendoofer Day! (1998) was written after Ted's death, based on his sketches and notes.
You may also find more books credited to Dr. Seuss, but they are ones that he only wrote but had others do the illustrations.
Mom says she has read almost all of these books either to her own children or to her grandchildren - that's a lot of words:) Many of them reside on the bookshelves in the bedrooms upstairs (where we Woos are not allowed). We hope you enjoyed learning something new about the wonderful Dr. Seuss!!!
Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss

ReplyDeleteI knew Green Eggs and Ham growing up but wasn't a particularly big fan of Dr Seuss - until as a teenager I babysat a little girl and the best way to read her to sleep was reading any Dr Seuss book (I definitely recall using One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish) in the most rhythmic way I could.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Horton Hears A Who and Seussical: the Musical! though. And I love the idea of your Momster reading all of his books to children and grandchildren. What a loving person your Momster is!
