Tasty Tuesday #ChewyInfluencer

Well, the rain continues today, but we have something very exciting to share with you.

It's Tasty Tuesday with our review of another tasty product from Chewy.com.

We received this 8 ounce package of Blue Wilderness Grain-Free Bayou Biscuits from that nice lady Sydney from Chewy.com.  No cost to us, just the return of an honest review.  Now here's the exciting part - guess what is IN these bayou biscuits?  ALLIGATOR AND CATFISH AND SHRIMP!!!!  ALLIGATOR???  Now THAT is a new taste for us. Let's take a closer look at what makes up these treats as found on the Chewy.com website:

Product Description

Reward your pup with the exotic flavors of the bayou with Blue Buffalo Wilderness Bayou Biscuits with Alligator & Catfish Grain-Free Dog Treats. The crunchy baked biscuit will satisfy his love of meat and natural chewing instincts with the taste of real alligator, a nutritious high-quality protein that makes snack time even more exciting. For a truly complete bayou blend, it’s also loaded with delicious catfish and shrimp to drive him wild. They’re 100% grain-free and full of protein for a uniquely healthy treat.
Key Benefits
  • Delicious real alligator, catfish and shrimp
  • Filled with high-quality unique proteins
  • 100% grain-free and gluten-free
  • Crunchy baked biscuits
  • Made with the finest natural ingredients
  • No artificial preservatives, colors or flavors
  • No corn, wheat, soy or chicken/poultry by-product meals

Ingredients

Alligator, shrimp meal, potatoes, chicken fat, flaxseed (source of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids), catfish, salt, calcium carbonate, preserved with citric acid and mixed tocopherols, oil of rosemary

Did you catch all that goodness?  Real alligator, catfish, and shrimp.  100% grain-free and gluten-free, no artificial stuff, no corn, wheat, soy, or chicken/poultry by-product meals.

They are a nice size, not too big, and not too small.  They crumble pretty easily in case your peeps want to sprinkle them on your dinner:)  And we are hoping they are small enough that Mom will give us each a whole one.

It looks like each biscuit got the paw stamp of approval too.

Don't we both look pretty happy to be waiting to taste test these treats?

So good that you can't even see a crumb fall from Ciara's mouth.

Lightning was so eager to eat his that he broke it into a gazillion little crumbs and then proceeded to scarf up every tiny bit.

Lightning is licking his chops and Ciara is totally focused on the paw that feeds us - they were THAT good!!!

We give them four paws up each and hope to get another one real soon.  Mom liked that they didn't have a strong fishy smell, and that they had so many good features to the ingredients. The only concern she had was that she couldn't find anywhere on the packaging that they were made in the U.S.A.  The Chewy.com website does say that the country of origin is the United States. Mom is waiting for a reply from The Blue Buffalo Company as to where the alligator, shrimp, and catfish come from.  We will let you know once we receive a reply.

Meanwhile, how about another one, Mom?

Many thanks to Chewy.com and the nice lady Sydney for letting us check out this product.

  23. Excellent review, but *gulp*...alligator?? Not so,sure about that one. Your Mom was smart to learn where those ingredients come from

  24. They look very yummy. We don't have them in the UK. I was concerned about one of the ingredients though - oil of rosemary. Miss Sable Labrador has epilepsy too and I was told by the vet to avoid rosemary as it is a stimulant. I know lots of vets have different ideas but I thought I'd mention it. Kisses on Ciara and Lightning's Noseys. xx

  25. I've noticed recently that several of the dog food items we buy say "no ingredients from China" right on the packaging. I like seeing that and wish more companies would start doing it.
