Friday Flashback - Remembering TD

Creating this flashback post never gets any easier, but we wanted to remember our dear sweet boy Thunder today on the third anniversary of his crossing the bridge.  After a very sudden onset of illness, the evil "C" word stole our Thunder in a very short time.  With both joy in our hearts and tears in our eyes, we cherish the photo memories we have of TD.

Yes, he did eventually grow into those ears.

As a pup he was loved playing with Angel Phantom.

And as a "big" boy, they were the best of buddies.

The Three Angel Amigos - Phantom, Thunder, and Dakota

They all loved visiting the donkeys.

And oh, how he loved anything cooked on the grill.

But the real love of his life was his sweet half-sister.

Always together.

Sweet Sibling Love

So happy together - and sadly TD's passing marked the beginning of Ciara's woes:(

And then some of you may remember Thunder's big project back in the summer of 2011:

Remember when he was working on creating something fun and magical.

At first he wasn't so sure that Mr. Lightning was quite what he had in mind.

But Mr. L. had his winning ways and quickly won over his big brother.

So many special memories - so wishing he were still here.

THE MANY FACES OF THUNDER

His last birthday, April 28, 2013.

April 28, 2006 - July 1, 2013

Love you, big guy, and miss you so much.

whose life on this earth was way too short. What a most handsome handsome boy. Knowing he is with Phantom and Dakota gives just a bit of comfort.
Bless Ciara's heart...she does so miss her brother. I know for sure the 3 Amigos are watching over you all.
I know this was hard to post but my goodness I appreciate that you shared with us.

I was glad to get to know a little bit about Thunder. Of course we love the fact that all of you loved to go see the donkeys. Big hugs to you Kathy.

  6. I don't know that it ever gets easier, especially when they taken so early. I can't believe it has been three years already. I am finding the start of my second year without Brut to be almost tougher than the first. I don't think we ever get over missing them. Anniversaries are so painful, I hope you find some comfort today.

  11. Thunder is so precious, and he lived the best life any dog could ask for. You did a great job taking care of this amazing boy before it was his time to become an angel.

I'm glad that both Ciara and Lightning knew him, giving you a link to your past with your current dogs. Lots of hugs and love to all of you. As an aside, it will be 4 years since Angel K died on July 15. Time goes by too fast but the memories of our beloved pups never fade.
