Tasty Tuesday from July on Thursday in August

How's that for an interesting title!!!  We had a second product to review for Chewy.com in July, but with all of my "happenings" last month, we didn't get to it.  Unfortunately I had some more of those evil happenings overnight, totally discouraging the Momster.  At least we had prepared some of the photos for our review earlier this week.

At no cost to us, we received a 4 oz. package of Natural Balance L.I.T. Immunity Support Jerky in the salmon formula from our favorite Chewy.com lady, Ms. Sydney, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

We are huge fans of jerky, and salmon is one of our favorite fish tastes.  And since this is a L.I.T. product, it has limited ingredients - that is always a plus.

From the Chewy.com website:

Description:

Helps support a healthy immune system!  Made with more than 80% of the high quality protein dogs love, Natural Balance L.I.T. Limited Ingredient Treats Immunity Support Jerky is formulated with antioxidant vitamins C and E to help support a healthy immune system.  Your dog not only gets an amazingly tasty jerky treat, but you'll be happy knowing that you're helping to keep your dog healthy at the same time.
Key Benefits
  • Grain-free, limited ingredient treat
  • Made with salmon
  • No corn or wheat
  • No artificial flavors or colors
  • With antioxidant vitamins C & E
  • Great for puppies and adults
  • Made in the USA!

The limited ingredients include:  Salmon, Dried Potatoes, Sucrose, Vegetable Glycerin, Salt, Guar Gum, Sorbic Acid (Preservative), L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Vitamin E Supplement, Citric Acid (Preservative), Mixed Tocopherols (Preservative), Rosemary Extract.

Since the treats include some rosemary, Ciara is only going to be allowed to have a tiny taste once in a while, because some studies have shown that rosemary can be a seizure trigger.  We have not noticed this in the past with other products she has had, but it is always best to be cautious.

We are very much ready to receive our treats.  See how we can sit so nicely together.

Each strip of treats in the bag is a nice size.  We think we should each get a whole one, don't you agree?  But of course, the Momster says they are a treat with a high value for training purposes and rewards so she says we can only get a small piece.  Wouldn't you know that this treat is so very easy to break into smaller pieces!!!  We see that as a negative, but Mom says it is a great plus.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, sit and WAIT!!!  Lightning isn't taking his eye off his treat while Ciara works the camera!!!

OKAY, we waited, can we please eat now?

A little late for the Pawlympics Tongue Curling event, but Ciara's tongue tells the story of how she enjoyed her treat!!!

If you are a jerky lover like we are, we just KNOW you will love these Natural Balance treats.  They also come in other formulas besides the salmon, like duck and chicken.  You can find them at Chewy.com - go tell your humans it is time to place an order for these and so many of the wonderful products you can find at Chewy.com with good prices and awesome shipping service.  Thank you, Sydney and Chewy.com for another opportunity to taste test and review a great product.

Lightning you and Ciara are such well mannered and obedient Woos. There is no way in a gazillion years I'd wait to be told to take a treat. I'm so uncouth
and have shameful manners. Give the Momster a treat for the fine photography Kitty kisses and mom hugs

  2. We don't get jerky very often. hen we do, Mom stays close by supervising. Those do sound wonderful because we love salmon.

Mom tries to be aware of seizure triggers, too. Dr B has warned her about a few but she'll add rosemary to her list.

  14. I've seen those and wondered if my boys might like them. I'll have to order them sometime.

Wow, I did not know Rosemary could be a seizure trigger! I've never had a pet with seizures, but that's good to know if I ever have one in the future.
