A Few Words Wednesday

The man in the big brown truck came to our door yesterday afternoon and left a big box on our porch.

Look what was inside that box!

A beautiful floral arrangement in a very nice vase.  It was from our Texas pals at The Legacy Chronicles - Casey, Jessie, and the Momma.  Casey was Ciara's handsome beau who treated her so kindly and with gentlemanly respect at a few Blogville events.  What a kind and thoughtful thing to do.  We thank you all so very much.

Look how special this vase is!  Inside the crystal clear vase is the beautiful memorial image of Ciara created by our dear friend Ann of Zoolatry.  (Thank you, Ann.)

Casey, Jessie, and Andrea - Mom and I thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness.  We also want to thank the many friends who have sent cards and email messages of support.  We cannot tell you enough how much they all mean to us.  It is at times like this that one comes to know how wonderful friends can be.

We have the pretty flowers displayed on the table that serves as a "cave" for Ciara's treasure trove of toys.

Well, they are my toys too, but Ciara is the one who always brought them to this special spot.  Mom says she is worried about me because I keep sniffing all the toys over and over, but I don't play with them at all.

Doesn't she understand that it isn't as much fun to play
without my dear pal?

Woos - Lightning

that was a wonderful gift and it will be hard to play until you get use to being the only one - but we think Ciara is up there looking for a new brother or sister for you and when the time is right she will let you find out all about her

Lightening, I feel your pain, dude. Take your time, you'll feel better. I had an upset tummy for several weeks after Ruby went to the Bridge. Lately I've been playing with my next door neighbor doggie, and ALL the toys have come out. Mom even bought us some new ones!! Sending rottie kisses and a reminder, Lightening, that you WILL feel better.

Your pal,

-Otto

Someone sent us a similar vase when Cinderella passed, and it meant the world to Momma. We're glad to pass on the love. <3

Lightning, I understand how hard it is to want to play when you've just lost your very special buddy. I know the time will come that you are feeling better and your heart will be a little easier. And hopefully the day will come soon that you get another wonderful sibling to love and play with.

Oh Lightning, we know you miss you sweet sister. And of course it isn't as much fun to play without Ciara, but your Mom is your Mom and Mom's worry.

We wish we could come cheer you up and give everyone a hug.

Oh what BEAUTIFUL flowers and precious vase.....what a lovely thing to do. Lightning I think you feel those are Ciara's toys if that's where she would put them - and you just don't want to play with them without her there. One day you will. After all, she IS still there with you - right there in your beautiful heart.

Love, Sammy
