Mom's day to express how thankful she is feeling right now.
So it has been a little over a month since we had to say farewell to Ciara. My emotions are still pretty raw. Guilt and sadness can really be overwhelming. But I must say that these two have done wonders for helping me heal and bringing lots of smiles to my face.
Lightning has been a total surprise with how he treats his new little sister. I knew he would love having a buddy, but never did I ever expect such a quick bonding. He is just so tolerant of Misty's puppy-ness, and they play and play together all day.
Misty is my wonder puppy. Hoping not to jinx things, I think I can say she is 99.99% potty trained and has been for a good two weeks. She sleeps all night in her crate without a peep and keeps it dry and clean whenever she is in there. IF she has an accident in the house, it is totally because I lost track of time and didn't get her out. This is happening maybe once a week. She is quite the little wooer - she can sing up a great tune any time you want. All you have to do is look at her and say WHAT? She is very happy little girl and loves her toys more than the furniture:) She is a great bone gnawer. Once in a while I do have to remind her not to chew on the chair rungs. She is also a fast learner. She knows sit, wait (to devour her dinner), shake, go potty. We are working on stay, that's a bit more of a challenge. The best part about her is that she is always ready to share lots of sloppy kisses:)
It may sound a bit silly, but I do believe Angel Ciara had a big role in helping Misty find her way to us, and to do it so quickly. How I miss that sweet Ciara, but THANK you, my little Angel, you did a pawesome job. - The OP Pack Mom
