Welcome to our new "family" member

On the same day that we had to say farewell to our Angel Ciara, our little grandbipeds also had to part with their sweet black lab Gypsy.  Some of our longtime followers may remember this photo of Gypsy with K, C, and J.

Gypsy was the first "child" in the family, preceding K's birth by about a year.

She was always a very happy girl, even at the end when she struggled to get up and down.  Finally at the great age of 13, she decided it was time to cross over that Rainbow Bridge.  Our vets had a lot of teary humans to deal with that day as both Ciara and Gypsy made their last visit on the same day, October 6, 2016.

But now there is great joy for K, J, and C.

This week a very sweet little girl joined the family - meet Miss Ruby!!!  Ruby is 14 weeks old and part American and part English Golden Retriever.

Twin J is showing her how to use his iPad.

Ruby has the sweetest personality and so far has been the model puppy.  So far she hasn't figured out how to destuff her new toys.

She and Misty got to have a playdate this week at Ruby's home and had so much fun playing together.

Ruby has a lot to say already.

 Yard zoomies:)

As you can see, Ruby made this family very happy.

We had a very fun day yesterday, so today was a great day of rest.

  1. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH My word
What an adorable video. Ruby and Misty are about the same size.
I love how Ruby bows and barks out her invitation to play.
We are so sorry about Gypsy and Ciara running off to the Rainbow on the same day. They left their paw prints at their homes for the new wee ones to follow. Gypsy did a good job raising the J,C and K...now it is Ruby's turn to get them through middle and high school. I'm so glad Misty and Ruby got along

  18. I'm so sorry about Gypsy. But I'm so happy that that sweet sweet puppy has made them all smile again. Both Misty and Ruby I like rays of sunshine in your family. I'm reading this on my phone and it won't let me watch the videos. I'll have to wait until I get home for that fun. Thanks for this happy post!

  21. Miss Ruby is adorable! How nice that things are a lot happier in your house now. Looks like you have some nicer weather than us. My yard is full of mud and dead leaves. Not that I mind. But the humans don't seem to like all that stuff when it gets on my feets!

  22. Yeah, new puppies are the best things! She is super adorable and the kids mus be so excited. Just think, Misty, you're the big girl now and get to help teach Ruby how to be a good dog.
