Tasty Tuesday with Chewy.com

It's that time again - Chewy.com product review time!!!  We just love this event.

This month one of the products we received for review from Chewy.com is from a company we have never tried before - Stewart Pro-Treat.  Chewy.com delivered to our door a package of Stewart Pro-Treat Raw Naturals freeze dried dog treats made with a real beef recipe - all at no cost to us in exchange for a fair and honest review.

They have lots of great ingredients which we will detail in a bit - but look at that handsome dalmatian on the package -that's Rudy and you can read all about his story of adoption on the back of the package.  Stewart supports adoptions, so that alone is a big plus for this company in our eyes.

Let's get started with the product description so we can finally get to taste them.

These freeze dried treats are antioxidant rich, contain blueberries and cranberries, have salmon oil for healthy heart, skin, and coat, and are grain and gluten free.  We don't have to watch the cranberries now that we don't have Ciara:(

As you can see, the treats are not quite as big as a quarter.  They seem to have a bit of a heart shape - must be all the love that goes into making them.

From the Chewy.com website:

Description

Stewart Pro-Treat Raw Naturals combines the goodness of whole meats, fruits and vegetables into a healthy, all-natural treat that dogs are certain to love! Using only the best ingredients at the peak of freshness, they are blended and freeze-dried to lock in the nutrition of a raw canine treat with the convenience of a dry treat.

Key Benefits

  • Grain-free treats - great for pets with allergies
  • Made with real beef and only the best human grade ingredients are selected
  • Plus blueberries & cranberries for antioxidant protection
  • Flaxseed for healthy heart, skin and coat
  • You can be confident you are providing your dog with the most nutritious, delicious treat available.
  • Each 4-oz bag makes up to 1 pound of treats

That sounds pretty good to us.  And here is the ingredients list:

Nutritional Info

Ingredients

  1. Beef, Beef Hearts, Beef Liver, Ground Beef Bone, Broccoli, Carrots, Romaine Lettuce, Beef Kidneys, Apples, Flaxseed, Salmon Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, Blueberries, Cranberries, Inulin, Dried Kelp Meal, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Dried Dried Ginger, Dried Parsley, Dried Garlic, Zinc Proteinate, Iron Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Mixed Tocopherols (a Preservative), Rosemary Extract, Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin D Supplement.

Lots of really good stuff in them, but don't you think it is about time we got to try a couple of those treats?

Once again, we gobbled those yummy treats up so fast that Mom couldn't get a pic of the tasting. But the intense look in our eyes surely tells you how much we loved them and are hoping for at least another one or two.

Hmm,  two bags - would that be one for Lightning and one for Misty???  Darn it, Mom says we are going to share them with Ruby too.  That's OK - she's a good pal and a great cousin.

Overall, we would give these treats from Stewart four paws up times two. The only negative Mom has is that they don't really have a strong enticing smell to them. They ARE freeze-dried, so maybe that is why they don't have a hearty odor.  Mom said she noticed that Misty had a hard time finding hers when it rolled away from her on the carpet - but have no fear, Misty found it.  There are several other flavors and options for Stewart freeze dried treats that you can read about at Chewy.com if you click HERE.

Once again, a great big thank you to Chewy.com for letting us taste and review another wonderful product.
