Serene Sunday Ussie
Happy Sunday, everyone!!! Our imprisoned flower pots are still doing well, even with all this heat. We are glad we don't have to stay outside in that hot sun all day like they do. Now about that bird and the nest in the other flower planter. Mom took out the nest right after the bird started building it. But as many expected, she was determined to rebuild it. It has been well over two weeks now since she finished the second one. She sits in the flowers every day, but not in the nest. So far no sign of any eggs. It's all a mystery to us.

You two Woos are looking good. Hope the bird finishes it's nest. She is just making sure no is going to take her nest. Maybe she can't remember that she already built a nest. You all have a super evening.
ReplyDeleteMOLMOL your getupngo gotupnwent. OMCs OMDs do we know that feeling with the 3H's! You Woos are so funny and you look very gawgeous in the photo. I'm truly thinking that Mrs. Bird might be a tad too young to be a mom especially since she built her nest so low and and now no eggs.
ReplyDeleteThe inmates are doing a good job with your flowers
Hugs Madi your bfff
Maybe Mom bird is just saying "if I WANTED to lay eggs I would but I just wanted to drive you dogs nuts by building a nest!!!!!"
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Maybe the bird decided to move on up to higher ground somewhere!
ReplyDeleteI thinks we needs Kismet's opinion on this ~ I don't know nothin' abouts birthin' no burdies! BOL! yeah, that was dumb....it's the heat...
ReplyDeleteAnyhu, you guys look FABulous! Nows, get inside before you melt!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
You two are looking very good and it looks like those imprisoned flowers are doing well too. Maybe Mrs. Bird is waiting to have a Mr. Bird show up before she has any eggs to lay on.
ReplyDeleteHope the birds do well and you stay cool.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard for humans to beat nature. Your mom is smart to learn to live with the birds. Plus she is buying good karma for the future.
ReplyDeleteWe had the same thing with birds that nest near our house too - I guess they know what they're doing... Don't they? I think you all know what you're doing by staying inside where it's nice 'n cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Ussie!!! Birdies sure can be silly sometimes!

ReplyDeleteyou look super fabulous! ...and that's an eggs-treme mystery with that nest... maybe we will solve it together during the summer?
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely Ussie!
ReplyDeleteWe have had lovely and cool weather recently but it's supposed to get pretty hot again today and tomorrow.
Woofs,
Tommy
What a wonderful ussie! Mrs Birdie is sure acting strange.
ReplyDeleteCrikey ...... Poor Mrs. Birdie ...... She's all confused, aye?? You two are looking super cool even if it is super hot and those flowers sure are pretty
ReplyDeleteThat bird needs to find a new spot, that won't work when Winter rolls in!
ReplyDeleteThat is one persistent birdie! Glad you all are surviving the horrible heat!
ReplyDeleteKiki and Nala
There must be something that makes it feel safe there. Stay cool furiends!
ReplyDeletePuppy Growls,
lucy
she's probably waiting to lay her eggs so she can guard the nest to make sure that you don't take it away again lol DakotasDen
ReplyDeleteYou two are being so good not snooping into her birdie nest.
ReplyDeleteHope she has her babies soon.
xo Astro
Maybe she just enjoys your flowers

Birds are determined. Very difficult to change their minds. Your yard does look very lush and green....probably because no dogs are out there digging it up! Like here.
ReplyDeleteBirdies can be funny sometimes. Once I found a robin nest right at my eye level on the pear tree. I'll give you one guess what happened to the eggs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great "ussie". Errrr.... "youie". Your flowers look wonderful, though, like you, we wouldn't want to be imprisoned in this heat, either!!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting update about the birdie!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Sorry we are so late with this but thank you for your comforting words on the loss of our sweet Ellie. We are heartbroken.
