Wings on Wednesday
We are happy to report that that silly bird has finally flown the coop - no eggs, empty nest, and no feathery friend hiding out.
So, Mom, how about you fire up this grill and cook some tasty chicken wings (and maybe a steak or two)?
Woos - Lightning and Misty
Yeah! We're so happy for the birdie!!!
ReplyDeleteMom is LOLing about the bricks weighing down your planters. Only in Kansas! We always laugh at the home shows where they decorate outdoor areas with things that would be blown into the next county in 3 minutes here!
Mmm... yeah, let's fire up the grill!!!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
We have bricks strategically placed here although they are usually to make it more of a challenge for me to get to sumthingy…don't worry though, it rarely works!
ReplyDeleteIs the BBQ and open invite…will there be rain? I was at not one but two BBQs this weekend and it rained and rained and rained at both, very British!

Lemme know when it's time for steaks!
ReplyDeleteExcellent isea, let's eat!
ReplyDeleteYay for one smart birdie! I think that's a great idea, Lightning!
ReplyDeleteSometimes those birdies don't pick very smart places to make their nests.
ReplyDeleteWe're cooking Italian sausages on our grill today! Yum!
Bummer the birdie is gone. Hey, maybe he came here! :) Mmmm, chicken wings!
ReplyDeleteHopefully she found a perfect tree top apartment. I agree steaks would be nice!
ReplyDeletePuppy Growls,
Lucy
Oh yes for sure fire up the grill for summin' tasty lots to celebrate Lightning
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
We had a bird who made a nest in the retractable mechanism of our clothesline for several seasons. Never reared the babies, and finally gave up. Glad your bird has moved on.
ReplyDeleteNow we think firing up that grill is a first rate idea.
Chicken wings do sound tasty! Your Mom's flowers look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteStay cool, sweet sibes.
XOXO
Your plants are gorgeous. Glad the bird found another home. Misty, be sure to leave the plants alone or not BBQ for you. Hope you two get some goodies. Have a super evening.
ReplyDeleteBye, bye Birdie! Beautiful pic! You have such a wonderful green thumb. I'm so envious! And I sure hope Mom fired up that grille for you beauties!
ReplyDeleteGood idea. It would be rude to cook chicken wings with the bird there
ReplyDeleteWells, that's good news! And the burdie didn't ruin YOUR Moms plants like all the burdies here ruin Ma's! ☺
ReplyDeleteOkays, I'll take two steaks and if I could place an order for some weenies...
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
that's a good idea... some chicken wings and steaks are the perfect dinner for a wednesday... dig in ;o)
ReplyDeleteAren't you just a tiny bit sad that your bird friend departed? I always am. Enjoy the BBQ!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm really impressed with your Mom's planters. How does she keep them so healthy in this heat? I gave up after spending one summer watering hanging baskets about every couple hours and they still looked dried out.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad the birdie found somewhere else for her nest. Did you get some of that chicken or steak?
