Wings on Wednesday

We are happy to report that that silly bird has finally flown the coop - no eggs, empty nest, and no feathery friend hiding out.

So, Mom, how about you fire up this grill and cook some tasty chicken wings (and maybe a steak or two)?

Woos - Lightning and Misty

  1. Yeah! We're so happy for the birdie!!!
Mom is LOLing about the bricks weighing down your planters. Only in Kansas! We always laugh at the home shows where they decorate outdoor areas with things that would be blown into the next county in 3 minutes here!
Mmm... yeah, let's fire up the grill!!!
    Yours sincerely,

  2. We have bricks strategically placed here although they are usually to make it more of a challenge for me to get to sumthingy…don't worry though, it rarely works!
Is the BBQ and open invite…will there be rain? I was at not one but two BBQs this weekend and it rained and rained and rained at both, very British!

  5. Sometimes those birdies don't pick very smart places to make their nests.

We're cooking Italian sausages on our grill today! Yum!

  9. We had a bird who made a nest in the retractable mechanism of our clothesline for several seasons. Never reared the babies, and finally gave up. Glad your bird has moved on.

Now we think firing up that grill is a first rate idea.

  14. Wells, that's good news! And the burdie didn't ruin YOUR Moms plants like all the burdies here ruin Ma's! ☺

  17. I'm really impressed with your Mom's planters. How does she keep them so healthy in this heat? I gave up after spending one summer watering hanging baskets about every couple hours and they still looked dried out.

  18. We're glad the birdie found somewhere else for her nest. Did you get some of that chicken or steak?
