Tasty Tuesday - #ChewyInfluencers

#ChewyInfluencer time!!!

Today we are reviewing the first of two products we selected from Chewy.com. We received this item at no cost to us in exchange for an honest and fair review.  Let's get started.

The item up for taste testing today is a 6 oz. bag of Blue Basics Biscuits.

These  limited-ingredient dog treats are available in two flavors: turkey and potato or salmon and potato.  We love all things fishy so we selected the salmon and potato variety.

Let's get through some of the facts about this product before we do our taste test.

We found this description from the Chewy.com site:

Made from a simple recipe with a limited number of natural ingredients, Blue Basics Biscuits are the perfect treat for dogs with food sensitivities. Oven-baked for crunchy goodness, Basics Biscuits start with real salmon, a high-quality protein not commonly used in dog treats, which makes them ideal for dogs with food sensitivities. In addition, Basics Biscuits contain some of nature’s most healthy and highly digestible ingredients. Plus, all that happy chewing will help freshen his breath!

They sure are sounding pretty healthy and tasty to us so far.  We love fish, we love crunchy, and who doesn't want to have fresh-smelling breath?

Some of the key benefits listed include:

  • Oven-baked biscuits with salmon and potato to help promote healthy skin, gentle digestion and immune system health
  • No chicken/poultry by-product meals, just real ingredients
  • No corn, wheat or soy, so it's great for pups with food allergies
  • No artificial preservatives, colors or flavors, just natural dog treats enhanced with added vitamins
  • High-quality, not commonly used protein is perfect for dogs with food sensitivities
We aren't finding any concerns with these benefits. AND the treats are made in the U.S.A.  We don't have any known food sensitivities, but simple goodness is always best.  Now let's get on with the tasting.

As you can see, the biscuits are a decent size, not too big and not too small. They break easily, making Mom happy.  We much prefer that she not do THAT.

OK, Timber, this is going to be your first review since joining us.  You need to pose nicely and look at Mom. Trust us, there are great benefits to cooperation.

We don't have any photos of the actual eating because Mom can't seem to manage three dogs, the flashy beast, and some feeding all at the same time. But let us all tell you the treats were very good. The salmon taste really hit the spot. Even Timber gobbled his up very quickly.  We didn't let him know that we each got a WHOLE one while he only got a half:)  Mom doesn't want to overload his tummy with too many different things too soon.

Let's do it again, Mom - give Timber a bit more practice with this Chewy.com review thing.

Watch ME, Timber - the head tilt works wonders - you should really try it.

How's this for a good one, Misty and Lightning?  I even got a smile in there for those yummy treats. I will have to work on the head tilt:)  And I see what you mean about the great benefits of cooperation.

We highly recommend these Blue Basics Biscuits.  You can find them HERE on Chewy.com.  They are on sale right now, and even the regular price is pretty good.  We hope we can get Mom to let us try the turkey and potato ones too.  Thank you, Ms. Natalie and Chewy.com for letting us be your #ChewyInfluencers.

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
