Valentine's Day in Beautiful Paris

It's Valentine's Day all over the world.  We are hopping on the Postcards from Paris Blog Hop with a lot of our Blogville pals.

Before we begin our fun, we want to thank Jakey from "LLB in Our Backyard" for his excellent tutorial that was a tremendous help to Mom.  So easy to follow and execute.  And we also have to thank our dear friends from the Down Home in North Carolina blog, the beautiful Madi and her Mom, for their help in getting us all dressed up for the fashion show with Fifi.

We were so excited to arrive in beautiful Paris.  We started our tour with a stop at the BIG Louvre Museum.  We can't wait to see all the beautiful art inside this awesome work of architecture, especially the famous Mona Lisa.  We hope she will smile at us.

But wait, before we can continue with our tour, we are going to showcase some really fancy clothes in the Creative Critter Couture 2018 (CCC18) Fashion Show with hostess Madi and her official fashion guide Fifi the French Poodle.

OK, Madi and Fifi, you know we Sibes are not crazy about dressing up, but we heard you two came up with some fantastic fashions for each of us.  On with the show!!!

First up, we have Lightning, the very dashing Siberian 007!!!  Even HE is willing to admit that he makes a handsome canine "James Bond".

Misty is forever grateful to Madi for unveiling this exquisite, beautiful gown that just exudes mystery and magic.  She also thinks she looks quite chic with her "shades of midnight" hair:)

And then there is Lumberjack Timber!!!  BOL - He looks so good in that red tartan plaid.  But we think he had best leave his lumberjack skills in Paris as we don't think Mom would be too crazy about him doing any tree chopping at home:)

Now let's get on with a few more postcards of our adventures as we toured Paris.  There is so much to see and do in Paris that we decided to split up for a while so we could cover a lot of the great places to visit in Paris.

Oh no, Lightning said he wanted to "tour" Paris, but he didn't think he mentioned having anything to do with BIKES!!!  And so many of them.  As you may know, this big boy is not at all fond of anything on wheels that moves.  He thinks he should have brought Mom along - she always knows how to calm him when we see bikes on our walks.

Meanwhile Misty came across the "home of her dreams" - the palace at Luxembourg.  She is headed inside to check out the accommodations.  If it all works out, she is picturing herself and her brothers doing zoomies up and down a big beautiful staircase and through the many long halls.

The youngster Timber wanted to do something a little more fun than just sightseeing.  He found the perfect place.  We all remember how he went round and round as he ate his dinner from his new fun feeder.  He is hoping to take a ride in that pretty cup in front of the two beautiful white horses.  And then he is going to climb those stairs to see what he can find.

We had decided earlier that we would all meet back up in the Luxembourg Gardens.  Misty told us all about how gorgeous the palace is, while Lightning caught his breath after that encounter with the bikes, and Timber did a "sit and stay" as he tried to recover from his dizzying ride on the carousel.  We admired the beauty of this garden that looks like it is gearing up for some spring blossoming.  We decided to try to find the Head Groundskeeper to see if he was needing to hire some extra gardeners.  We know we could accomplish a LOT of gardening in the short time we are here in Paris:)

Next on our tour, we discovered the famous cathedral, Notre Dame de Paris.  We know Mom would love to see this church as well as the rest of Paris.  This view is from the back of Notre Dame by the Fountain of the Virgin in Square Jean XXIII.  As we walked around the perimeter of the building, we met many people from all over the world who were headed into the cathedral.  We weren't able to go inside the cathedral, but we asked all of them to say a little prayer for our human sister K.  We all know the POTP and the power of prayer.

Our time in Paris seemed to fly by. We had such a wonderful visit.  We hope you enjoyed our Postcards from Paris.

We ended our day at the Eiffel Tower where we rested and reflected on the marvels of Paris.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL!!!

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  28. Misty you were stunning in your gown and the boys were very handsome. It looks as if y'all had a fun trip and got to see a lot of beautiful places. Bicycles don't bother Fenris & Tuiren thankfully as we see tons of them on our beach walks, but there seemed to be even more bicycles in Paris.
