Sunday Selfie and Welcome

Meet PIPER!!!

Hi, everyone.  Mom said I have to introduce myself with a Sunday Selfie.  I am a red factor male canary who has come to live with The OP Pack.

They say birds of a feather flock together, but I am not too sure about these guys - they don't look much like birds to me.

But they sure are very interested in me.

This one - they call him Timber  - he leapfrogged with one giant leap from the floor to the top of that lower counter.  Mom just about freaked out and said he has NEVER done that before. I thought he was just trying to give me a snooter to beak welcome.

Then there were two of them - the new one is called Lightning.  Neither of them can take their eyes off me - guess I must be pretty handsome.

Oh wait, there is a third one, the girl named Misty.  She is even smiling at me!!!

Here's one more shot of me before I go.  I have two resting places in my new home.  This one surrounded by the whole family. And then when Mom can't keep an eye of those furry ones, I stay in an upstairs bedroom with the doors closed.  Rumor has it that the furry ones aren't allowed in the bedrooms:)  I will be back another day.  Nice to meet you.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Piper Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you are gorgeous...not only because I'm a fan of red either. You are simply gorgeous.
I have never seen a fine feathered friend like you. I'm a back yard bird watcher too and lover of fevvers.

Leaping Timber What were you thinking or not? Timber I am stunned yes somewhat impressed by your skills. I love the photo of the Wooful tushies spying on you. Maybe when things settled down you can sing us a song.

Hugs and gentle head strokes. I look forward to hearing more and seeing more of you

What a handsome boy you are, Piper! Nanny used to have a yellow canary and he sang up a storm! Maybe singing to the Sibes would put them more at ease.

What a nice birdie! Nice to meet you Piper! I hope the doggies don't continue to gawk at you. I had birdies in my house for a little while and I left them alone. (And I'm a bird dog!)

Welcome to Blogville Piper. You sure are handsome. We're not surprised by the Woo's greeting (especially Timber's) as we would probably react in a similar fashion if we had a birdie in our house.

You have a bird in your HOUSE?!!! What kind of craziness and torture is that? I have to live with cats, but I don't think I could live with a bird!
