True Colors Thursday

Today is True Colors Thursday and the color for today is SILVER. We have lots of things around here that are silver but Mom said she only wanted to share one collection.

This is one of the cabinets that contains Mom's collection of spoons. Each spoon is either from one of our states or from another country. A spoon only earns the right to be in the cabinet if someone from the family actually visits that state or other location.

Here is the second cabinet.

This one does have a lot of spoons that are not silver; they are mostly international in nature. But it is still very nice to look at.

These two cabinets are very special to our Mom because the tradition of collecting the spoons was started by her mother. When she passed away, the spoons became Mom's to carry on the tradition. Mom also asked us to pass along the message that you shouldn't look too closely because she really needs to do some polishing:-)

Today is also a special day for the OP Pack - this is our 100th post. And as Khyra's Mom told our Mom, it is an appropriate time to do it since "after all, 100 is 4 silvers!" We don't have any exciting pics to share with you because we are all still helping Mom figure out how to do everything with her new Macbook laptop. We are very surprised we made it to #100 and hope to one day be able to celebrate many more centennials.

Woos, the OP Pack

Phantom and Thunder are also silver, didn't your Mom think of that? they should always think of you guys first, not the stuff in the house, more dog school for your Mom!
Any way nice spoons, if they have peanut butter served on them. Congrats on the 100th post!

Thanks for thinking of us too, Kira. Mom didn't forget that but she had all she could do to get two pics up and ready for today. And we do get the feature spots a lot too.

How is your mom liking her new computer? I know my mom likes hers.

My mom also has a spoon collection, but it is in Missouri at our grandparents' house.
