A Mix of Thanks, Peace, Reflection, Sadness, and Hope

Thanks today to a very special lady who visited our blog and offered to make us a peaceglobe. Even though Thursday was the big day for posting about peace, our peaceglobe is just so beautiful that we wanted to share it with you today. Thanks, Anne - your lovely creation filled our hearts with peace and thanksgiving.

In our Wondering Why post on Wednesday, we told you about this wonderful event that will be happening across BlogWorld on Sunday, November 14th, the Second Annual Worldwide Moment of reflection, meditation, contemplation and prayer, sponsored by Two Special Wires, Jake and Fergi, and their Mom. Be sure to visit their blog to get your badge and clock. Here is a little more information about it from Jake and Fergi:

We all agreed to make it an Annual Event

Whatever feels right to you.

Follow that Silence
with whatever means of Communication
You choose.

With the power of these two special events described above, we are holding in our hearts very special thoughts and prayers for all the furries and their families out there who are in need of our love and support AND there are just so many, too many, way too many.

We were deeply saddened this morning to read some sad news about two of our special furiends. After the posts done by Stella here and us here a few weeks ago, many of you have become regular followers of the beautiful chocolate lab named "K" and her human KB at Romping and Rolling in the Rockies. Yesterday was the big day for the removal of K's foot cast. We were shocked, stunned, and saddened to hear the possibility of another invasion of the nasty "C" word. Please be sure to visit K and KB and offer them once again the power of the paw and your prayers.

While visiting KB's post, we noticed a comment from Houndstooth of Tales and Tails. Blueberry had a vet visit to have a suspicious lump on her head checked. They too now need the power of the paw for good news from Blueberry's lab reports.

We also want to give a special request for good thoughts and prayers for two special kitties, Inigo and Tinkerbell. We know the list of those in need goes on and on, and so rather than risk missing any, we ask you to cross your paws and bow your heads for all those out there who really need to feel the love right now.

We are sorry for such a sad post on this beautiful autumn day. But sometimes we have to feel the sadness of others to bring on hope and strength. We will always remember the special warmth of love we have felt from all of you for our moments of sadness too.

Wishing you all a love-filled weekend with your families.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

Pee Ess - thanks to all of for making us smile with all your clever wonderings:)

  3. I agree that KB's post about the possibility of K having cancer in her foot was so devastating. We were expecting a cast removal and K starting PT for her life of action once again.

I agree that it would be good to offer your prayers or good wishes to K or any dog/cat with difficult times.

Thinking of them all and wishing for wellness!

    Kisses,
    Stella

We couldn't believe it when we saw K's post yesterday. We have also been following along with Tinkerbell.

  7. We were stunned yesterday when we read KB's post, too. It was not the news we were expecting at all!

Well, we weren't expecting our own news yesterday, either, to tell the truth. I really thought they'd tell me it was a fatty lump and nothing to worry over. We are so thankful that so many people have been so supportive of us already! Blueberry is such a sweetheart, and still quite young at eight years old. We are hoping for better news after the lump comes off and gets biopsied.

Thank you so much for thinking of us!

  30. Thank you so much for your kind words. The OP pack is so wonderful to all of us blogging friends.

We're still researching bone cancer and talking with vets so there's no news on our front. It's always so hard to be hit with something so surprising and to rapidly learn enough to be a good dog owner. I know that you've been in my shoes. Thanks so much for your kindness.

It seems that blogworld has either lost some special friends or a disproportionate number of our furpals are experiencing sickies of a bad kind. We will be pawticipating in the amazing worldwide Moment on Sunday, knowing how many others will share in that incredible event.

Woof is trying hard to fit in & is doing rather well.We are trying to teach him to walk on the lease. his paw still hurts & w want to make him use it slowly so that he dosn't develop stiffness.
As for the toys, he is least intersted in any of them unless it is a chew toy!!
Ciara, Phantom & Thunder, u better not let him get to your treat cupboard, at least not till he learns to be a little less hungry!!!!
