Corbin's Day

It's Monday!

It's Blogville Pitty Post Day!!!

AND it's Corbin's birthday!!!

Let's celebrate!!!!

Mom says she would have to admit that not that many years ago she was not very fond of pitbulls. Everything she ever saw written about them was negative. Pitbulls were portrayed as vicious and mean.  She would always hope no one near us ever had one.

BUT then we all learned so much more about this breed because of blogging.  Mom now realizes that it isn't the breed that is the problem, it is some breeders and some bad owners.  Pitbulls are no different from any other breed of dog.  They are kind, loving, sweet, intelligent, and they make great pets.  How do we know this?  We have learned so much from the blogging community about some very nice pitbulls.  We have several furiends that are pitbulls or pitbull mixes.  And one of them is the very special CORBIN.

Meet Corbin!!!  Isn't he just so handsome?

Now Corbin has been having lots of sickies lately with back problems and heart issues that are being caused by his medicine. But his wonderful humans are doing all they can to make him better.  He just told us in a recent post about how much better he is doing.

But wait, there is more to Corbin than just another handsome guy.  He and his Mom open their home up to serve as a foster home for lots of wonderful pups.  These pups come to stay with Corbin where they can be prepared to eventually go to a fantastic forever home.  We have seen many gorgeous and sweet pups go in and out the door at Corbin's place, and we guarantee you they leave much better off for their stay.

Corbin is a great host, he even learns to snuggle with some of his visitors.  And we must tell you he has a bit of a penchant for the ladies:)  Just saying.

Here he is with the latest fosters at his home - not ONE, but TWO great dogs.

Look at that happy face - who couldn't love Corbin?

We have never met any pitties in person, but we are very happy to be pals with so many of them through the blogs.  When we were thinking about what we would do for this special post for Corbin, we came across a great story about another very special pitbull mix.  You can read a very heartwarming story about what that pitbull mix did HERE.  We are sure Lilly's owner will never EVER regret the day she rescued a pitbull.  She literally owes her her life.  Just click on this LINK to read all about her.

So Corbin, here we all are waiting for Mom to give us a special treat to celebrate YOU!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CORBIN - we love you!

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  10. Wow, what a great post to share today! Lots of us have learned to respect and love our pitty furiends and that is helping get the bark out all over the peep-world. We all should be judged by our character, heart and spirit, not our looks or breed.

  12. #1 has only ever met one pit bull in person and he was the sweetest guy ever. The breed is really much-maligned, another case of the harm that can be done by that most destructive of all creatures: the human being.

  13. We wish Corbin a Happy Birthday, Johns brother had a Pit Bull she was a soft thing even scared of cats. We are not allowed pitties in the UK now. If you had one when the law came in you could keep it until it died but they had to be muzled and never off the lead.
That is the fault of those morons who trained them to fight, and the gouls who went to watch them and bet on them.

  16. Super post! Pitties rock! And so do you pups for helping to spread the woof and word about this misunderstood breed. Great job!

Happy Birthday to your handsome friend Corbin! We are sorry he is suffering from sickies and prayers and paws crossed going his way that he heals. It is very cool that his mom foster, and how wonderful that Corbin is so loving and helpful to all the fosters that come into his life. Corbin, you do your breed proud!

  18. What a pawesome post OP Pack! Wouldn't this world be a wonderful place if there were no bad humans and everybuddy had an open mind to all beings? If all we knew is love there would be bad raps for any breed. And of course with faces like yours, how could we not love you!

  31. Great post! Momma also believes that any dog raised cruelly or mistreated continually will grow up with a bad attitude to be untrustworthy. It is all about instilling good manners, gentleness and love in a pup.

Thank you so much for your kind words and positive thoughts for Puff. We truly believe the energy created by our blogging friends is making a HUGE difference in her health.

  33. Beautiful post! We've never met a pitbull either because of the 'dangerous dog' laws here in Oz. But we've learned so much by reading pitties' blogs and information they tell about. We love the story of Lily.

We know Corbin must be having such a happy day!
