Thursday is usually a day for thinking and thanking in the world of blogs. So that is what we are doing today.
In the past week Ciara has received not ONE, but TWO, special deliveries in the mail. We all think she has the most wonderful friends, and she wants to be sure to thank them and to let you see how nice the world can be.
First up, The Three Little Pugs and their kitty Cotten sent Ciara the sweetest card. Can you see this pup trying to rope in the sun so he can put it in the mail . . .
. . . so he can send "a little sunshine your way". Isn't that just the nicest thing!!!
In case you can't read the message they sent, this is what it says: "Dear Ciara, We just wanted to send you a card from us 3 pugs and monster cat to let you know we have been thinking about you muchest. We say our nighttime prayers and you are always included. My mom read somefing the other day and she said it made her fink of all our friends from Blogville. It was 'find your tribe and love them hard'. So we are letting you know sweetie you are our tribe. Pug hugs, Stella Rose, Maggie, Angus, and Cotten."
Our Mom thinks that quote is so beautiful - if only the world would embrace it.
Thank you, sweet pals from Iowa, for you kindness to Ciara.
A few days later, Ciara had another special delivery come her way.
Her handsome beau Casey from Legacy Chronicles sent her these two tutu critters:) On the inside he told her he thought she would like the "fancy snacks":)
Inside, he wrote,
"Dear Ciara, I hope you enjoy your care package to fight off the evil "S". There's a bag of my favorite treats to give you strength, an antler to take your mind off things, and a flower almost as beeYOUtiful as you for your collar. Most of all, I know you want a new puppy, so Momma and I picked out this one from the pound. Your momma has to let you keep him because he's specially trained to fight off the "S" monster while you sleep. He brings all my love with him!!! Yours, Casey"
Let's take a closer look at the wonderful gifts Casey sent.
The treats are Nutro Crunchy treats with real apple!!! Like Casey, we love apple-flavored treats. The antler is a real deer antler, and what a pretty purple flower for her collar.
See Mr. Pound Puppy there watching over us. We thought long and hard about what to name him, and we decided that Ciara needs lots of peace and tranquility. So his name is PAX - the latin word for peace.
Lightning is quite fascinated by the squeaker inside PAX, but Ciara vows to keep PAX close to her, especially when she is sleeping.
In case you are wondering, I survived the big 4th of July pretty well. Thanks to a very wet weekend, there weren't too many neighborhood celebrations until Sunday and Monday nights. Mom ran a sound machine very loud so I would hopefully not be able to hear them. It seemed to work. I haven't had one of those visits that we don't like to mention since June 24th. This week is a big test week since it is about the time interval for one to hit. I also had my blood checked about two weeks ago to check the level of the phenobarbital in my system. Unfortunately it came back way too high, in fact the levels were what the vet called "toxic". So my dose has been cut in half and I will have my blood checked again next week. Mom thinks I am doing better. She says I seem calmer. We are all hoping things stay calm. PAX will be a big help with this thanks to Casey. And yes, both Lightning and I really do want a new puppy:)
In closing, we just want to say those two little words, THANK YOU. Mom says she was taught from the time she was a little girl that one always says thank you when anyone does something nice for you. It doesn't matter if it is something big or small, silly or serious, costly or not, expected or not. The important thing is to be appreciative. Too many peeps forget this. It is just two little words, but they carry a lot of significance. So here comes a great big THANK YOU to The Three Little Pugs, Cotten the kitty, and Casey (and Jessie too).
Woos - Ciara and Lightning
You are such a special girl Ciara and those gifts and cards are so very nice! We hope the calm stays with you and that the med dose gets regulated. Hugs from all of us.
ReplyDeleteWell Ciara, Lightning and Mom
ReplyDeleteI must tell you my mom's eyes got just a wee bit misty while reading this post. OMCs full of love and caring reaching across the many many miles.
I love the quote, 'find your tribe and stick to it'! I'm thinking we might send it to the powers that be and let it be a Blogville motto. The 3 little pugs and the Cotton monster are very very thoughtful
Such a short phrase with a very long meaning.
Ciara...mom says to tell you your guy Casey (and Jessie) are fine Boxers and Casey has beautimous furs and eyes. I absolutely love Pax and what a wonderful name.
Woo Mom this is a beautiful post the Woos dictated to you.

Cammie!
Whoohooo we are so happy you received our card, and that it brought a little sunshine ...teehee into your day. We are also glad the vet checked your blood levels and saw that it needed to be lowered. Not is not a good thing to be taking to much meds is it. Wasn't that wonderful of Casey to send you those special gifts to make you feel even better, he is a wonderful guy for sure, I bet that little puppy has some magical powers that come with it.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Love Stellie Rose, Mags, Gussie and Cotton
What lovely gifts from your friends Ciara! We hope the vet gets everything fixed with your treatment so the levels are better. We're sending purrs and prayers that you stay monster free!
ReplyDeleteYou have such thoughtful friends! We think about you every day too, Ciara, and hope the vet gets your medications right so the evil S doesn't bother you anymore!
ReplyDeletePS: Chester here. I'd be glad to remove the squeaker from that squeaky toy for you, but ghostwriter is shaking her head at me. I guess I'll have to add it to my list of squeaky toys that are NOT squeaky toys, which means I'm not supposed to take out the squeaker or the stuffing. I get so confused sometimes!
Thanks for the post, I enjoy reading your blog.

ReplyDeleteOh Ciara, that Casey is one romantic guy! The purple flower is SO you! I've been very seizure-y lately. I don't have the big kind like you do, but I've been really anxious and hanging out a lot in mom's office which is where Bart and Ruby used to go to hide from ME!! I have to go now. Mom says it's time for my meds. I'm being SUPER GUARD DOG...

The cards, are so kind and thoughtful -- Blogging friends truly are the best! Don't ever doubt that you all aren't loved, because you truly are by so many like me who send good sibe-vibes to you!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote too... I'm so glad that Ciara is getting so much love, and that the evil monster hasn't visited. I hope that her phenobarb levels get corrected and that it's smooth sailing. Sending you all lots of love.
ReplyDeleteisn't that great? ... and you got even some sunshine... what a wonderful gift! I bet so much love and all the good thoughts and the sunshine are strong enough to keep that evil monster away from you...
ReplyDeleteHow very sweet and thoughtful! We hope Pax works wonders for you, Ciara!
ReplyDeleteOMD, Ciara, I THOUGHT that purple flower would look just pawfect next to your furs, but I had NO IDEA it could be that beeYOUtiful. It just has the pawfect canvas to set it off -- your shining furs!! We're so glad you got your box and enjoyed all your gifts. I think that PAX is the pawfect name for your new puppy, and I hope he does a good job fighting back that mean ol' S monster!!
ReplyDeleteBlogville is real. It is a community of like minded people when it comes to animals. Pax will surely help keep the unmentionable away
ReplyDeleteAwww - those are super sweet gifts!
ReplyDeleteMonty, Harlow and Ramble
Oh what wonderful presents you got Ciara! Beautiful cards and thoughtful gifts - that purple flower is just plain GORGEOUS on your collar with your white furs!!! I have been wondering how you did with the 4th - sounds like the answer is GOOD - that makes me very happy. I hope the meds continue to work (and the sound machine!) and the pound puppy will fight off any evil "S" vibes that try to get through. That would be my BIGGEST wish.
ReplyDeleteLove and Hugs, Sammy
