Monday Morning Meeting

Mom, did you need something?  You are interrupting a very important discussion.  We are planning how we will deal with the return of this horribly hazy and humid heat!!!  Now we might be enticed to take a short break if you have some treats for us.

A couple of quick updates:

Timber is still getting his special prescription kibble.  He is doing better, but his "output" is still not quite where it needs to be.  There is still a lot of inconsistency in the firmness and still the occasional vomiting. Vet says at least a month on this food before we try to transition him back to his regular kibble or a new one.  Vet still thinks he may be having an allergic reaction to the kibble.  Mom isn't convinced yet, but we are following the doctor's orders.

Dance update:  Our girls, Ms. K and Ms. C, had a phenomenal weekend. Every one of their group dances won something; they are in several group dances, a few of them together.  There were a couple of First Place awards and several Top Ten placements.  In addition, three of their group dances won the national title for their age division and category.  All of their studio's entered dances won an award of some kind.  Our Ms. C. wowed the judges again with her two solos.  She won the Competitive Cup for her contemporary solo dance.  She placed 2nd for High Score for the two solos against all the other girls in her age category who performed two or more solos.  AND she came in 3rd in the Top Ten for her jazz solo dance.  She also was a featured performer in the Junior Starz performance of a dance she learned over the three days of competition.  Mom has her two solos on video, but she isn't allowed to share them publicly per studio and competition rules.  But we bet Mom would let you see them if you drop us a note or tell us in your comment:)  Just let us know if you want to see how proud we are of our dancerina.

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

Timber darlin' I'm so sorry about the tummy stuff. Sometimes it takes a while.

You know last June 2017 I started with some IBD mess. We finally have it under control....hope we don't jinx ourselves. But I have a magic cocktail that works. I have my senior physical on Thursday. Mom sure hopes the kidney values are holding their own or even lower!!

Yay x 87 for the little dancers Ms. K and C. We are so proud of them.

  6. What a bummer that these problems can't be fixed overnight, Timber. I will keep my paws crossed that this will end soon!

  7. Congrats to the dancers! Those are quite achievements for them and the studio! Timber, we hope you get all better soon. Hope the vet is right but it's good your mom is being alert to other issues. It took three vets and insistence from our peeps before we got a correct diagnosis on Isabella's asthma so vets do miss things.

  8. Good job you dancers. You did really well. Now, Timber, you need to get better. Maybe you should just have chicken for dinner all the time, like real chicken. We do send all kinds of good thoughts to you Timber.

  10. Did you guys come to any conclusion on how to deal with the humid heat? It does sound horrid. Gail has just come back home from a funeral in the south of England and she says it was hot and humid down there too, and I should be grateful I live in Northern Scotland.
    Toodle pip!

  22. I love your meeting photo! I'm also glad to read that Timber is feeling a little better. Is Timber nervous about any aspects of life? I'm asking because Shyla had similar symptoms around the same age that we solved with my vet's standard stuff for a nervous dog... but I don't remember you ever saying that Timber was nervous...

It sounds as if your grand-bipeds are superstar dancers!! I'll drop you a note... ;)

  23. I'd hoped that Timbers "digestive issues" would have worked themselves "out." Sorry that it's not the case. Paws crossed that it gets better. And if that meeting produced anyway to get a break with the heat, besides the continual use of our icemaker, please let us know.
