Thankful Thursday

It has been so comforting to our family to have such wonderful friends in the world of blogs.

Once again we want to thank you all so much for the many beautiful comments and emails we have received both in sympathy for our loss of Angel Ciara and as loving comfort to Lightning, Mom, and Dad.  Our hearts are still very heavy with sorrow and grief, but your love and compassion are making the load much lighter.

And lucky Lightning received some delicious House Woof Dog Biscuits (Johnson, Vermont) from Khyra and Holly to help lift his spirits.  TWO bags worth - Granola Bark Bars and Apple Pie Bars!!!  We hear they are both furry and human delectable.  Lightning promises to share with Misty, but Mom says for now Misty is just getting her puppy food, no treats until she is a little older and fully settled.  So for now we are going to freeze half of each bag and Lightning can enjoy the other half (shh, don't tell Misty!),  Thank you, Khyra, Holly, and theirMom.

Mom wants to say a few words now:

Yes, the pups are right, we are so very thankful for all the wonderful peeps and furries who have visited our blog over the past two weeks.  It is hard to accept that it was only two weeks ago today that we bid our sweet girl Ciara farewell for now.  We have lost several of our Sibes in the past few years, but this one hit very hard.  Ciara was the sweetest pup ever!!! And I miss her SO much.

But this new little life who bounced into our home a mere six days ago is doing a great job at helping us heal.  We are very grateful to those who helped her find her way to us.  And even more reason for thanks -   just look at these photos to see how bonded these two have already become.

You are right, Mom - I think we should keep her:)
