Nope, not coming. You can't fool me.
I know you have that Bravecto pill hidden in that peanut butter, and I am just going to spit it out. What else you got???
Woos - Timber
Note from Mom - Timber has a huge aversion to taking pills like Bravecto. I have to jump through hoops and find a new way every time to get it into him. The one that works best is to cut it into at least 8 small pieces and hide it in peanut butter, cheese, ice cream, etc. And even then, he figures it out.

ReplyDeleteWord to the wise, Timber... the pill is not that bad, the treat it's in is way better! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
(Word to mum... maybe do the wrapping of the pill out of T's sight, in whatever, then put that whatever into a package or box or something that Timber can observe you retreiving it from ... and hopefully have him think it's been unsullied! Yxx)
It's good for you Timber, but we understand that some of those pills taste funny. Luckily for us peanut butter works every time.
ReplyDeleteCan your mom just drop it down your throat, hold your mouth closed and stroke your throat, Timber?
ReplyDeleteYou are clever. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny how they know these things. Wish it was easier to get their needed medicine down.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom.. ♥
It;s good for you timber, it really is so just get it gone!
ReplyDeleteSuch a smart pup!
ReplyDeleteWish I had a special trick to share, but I've always been able to put them down their throats. Except for Chevy, he will take it in a Pocket Pill. He's such a good boy. Always tough taking pills. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteHe likes to make Mom work
ReplyDeleteIf it's wrapped in cheese, I'll eat it every time!
ReplyDeleteToodle-oo!
Nobby.
it is a weird feeling to hear a clong! while the cheese is gone... and it is extra weird when you think ha! and after some minutes you see a pill on the floor... all the good luck ...
ReplyDeleteThe pill is for your own good, Timber. Be a good boy and swallow it down.
ReplyDeleteA pill like this turned out Jake into a I hate peanut butter dog. he loved all things peanut butter and then he never ate ti again. we changed the pill, but it was not one he had to take.. I wonder if there is a different pill or a different way to get it.. dogs are really smart... the pill must have a horrid taste.. ha ha on poking it down Timbers throat...let me know if that works.. so sorry for all of you dealing with the pill thing
ReplyDeleteAngel Bilbo used to be the same.exact.way! It drove me nuts LOL
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Mama Beth
Woo Timber there is no pulling the WOOl over a Woo's gorgeous eyes.
ReplyDeleteLove that photo of you
I tried giving Angel Madi pills in pill pockets..nut that she was she delicately nibble around the pill pocket til she found the pill, she'd swat it with her paw then eat the pocket
Hugs Cecilia
Many years ago, our mom had a husky with lymphoma and she had to take soooooooo many pills,so we know how hard that might be---but the only thing that always worked was tuna fish! Us huskies do like stinky fish food so maybe that might work if you haven't tried it already!
ReplyDeleteRosie and redford
And I thought pilling the cats was hard!
