This is going to be sort of a mish mash post so we can get caught up on a bunch of things.
We were on a hunt to find something Easter-y for Frankie and Ernie, and we found these two rabbits. We aren't sure either of them is the Easter Bunny, but Mom didn't want us to taste them to be sure.
Our very nice friends from Holly and the Huskies sent us an Easter basket.
Lots of goodies inside as you can see. Mom says there are treats inside the eggs, but we have to wait until Easter Day to eat them.
Here is another look. See the fun time they all had meeting the Easter Bunny.
I am SO eggs-cited for the Easter Bunny to come, but Mom says I need to keep my mouth closed - this bunny is NOT for eating.
I am a happy girl too because the evil monster hasn't visited me for over six weeks now. My participation in the study ends on May 27th, but Mom is pretty sure I will be going on some other already-approved anti-seizure medication at that point. She also is babbling something about my needing to drop a few pounds because I have become a bit "chunky". Sheesh!!!
Well, friends, I wish I could also say I am very excited and happy, but I have had a rough few days. I spent some time at the vet's yesterday to see if they could figure out where my pain is coming from. I guess it is a combination of a lot of things, but mainly severe spine and neck area degeneration and weak muscles in my legs with a touch of arthritis. They made a few adjustments in my pain meds, and I got to come home. But last night was BAD. I cried in my crate, and I am usually a very stoic guy. Today the vet added another medication to my cocktail to see if that would help. It is still too early to tell, but Mom thinks I seem a tiny bit better tonight. She is hoping so because she has promised me she will not let me suffer. Any crossed paws and good thoughts would be greatly appreciated by this 15 and almost 1/2 year old pup.
It's pretty obvious here that Phantom is having a lot of trouble with his neck and upper back. So he got a pass on posing nicely for our treats.
We want to close by wishing you all a Happy and Blessed Easter Day, and we hope the Easter Bunny is good to everyone. We have a busy day with family tomorrow so we might not get to visit everyone. Enjoy your day.
