Is that a Bradford Pear? Momma says it looks like her old tree that kept doing that in storms too, until she had to just cut down the whole thing!
I'm sorry about your tree, but at least no one was hurt.
That is too bad about the tree. Nature sometimes is cruel. You all have a super day.
Jumpin' Catfish at least the tree wasn't ginormous WHEW that was a close one.Lightning I'll be waiting to see what replaces the tree I know whatever you decide it will be most WooderfulHugs CeciliaPS did I mention how totally handsome you look today? WOOOOOOOOOO
Oh that is rather sad. What sort of tree will you plant?
WOW! That looked like a healthy young, tree. Looks like all paws on deck for a new hole, now!
Thank goodness no damage was done to your home. You'll have a new tree in place in no time at all, Lightning!
Thank goodness it was a small tree and only landed in the street. We just had lots of ash trees taken down that were dying from that nasty beetle. Better to take them down then wait to have them fall on the house or on our fence.
That is awful.
We are sorry to see that. We have storms brewing right now. I hope the trees are safe
Thank goodness everyone is okay.If you need help digging Mitzie is a very good digger.♥ Astro and Mitzie
We've had some strange weather lately. Yesterday they posted severe storm warnings but all we got was a breeze. Today the wind is whipping around but it's still hot.

Oh that's so sad.....what a beautiful tree. There sure have been a lot of windy storms this summer and lots and LOTS of tree damage everywhere. Fortunately ours have been OK and since we live with woods around it's a good thing they survived or we might have had a damaged house. I know you'll miss that tree but it looks like Lightning has volunteered to help plant another one!Hugs, Pam
